If you came on board with on hive thinking that you can earn big through posting content and cash out, you’re going to be disappointed. Sorry to disappoint you but Hive isn't your get you rich scheme nor the endpoint of your financial independence. It is possible to live off through blogging on this platform but you would have to be a great content creator, have an established following outside the platform, and extraordinary at marketing yourself.

If you came on hive looking for money, there is but you got to work for it just like everyone else. You have to blog consistently, do public relations right, and stay up to date with what happens in the ecosystem. You have to stay awake for almost about 18 hrs a day for you to master all those requisites. All of this takes a lot of your time to do and if you just need quick cash, this isn’t the place for you.
If you are even having financial problems, I don’t think the blockchain is your first option to resort to, you should try to get a job first, sell something, or prioritize survival for a few months then come back to Hive when you got the time to spare. Your money problems aren’t going to go away because there is a platform that prints out money for free. This is crypto and volatility can happen anytime. One moment you are holding a single coin worth a few dollars, the next minute it can just be worth a few cents, still not enough to pay rent.

The amount of time you have to spend to build a consistent income here isn’t feasible in the short term. You have to build a relationship on the blockchain and interact with it without thinking that your rewards here will answer your next meal. Rewards here aren’t guaranteed being entitled to earn something or just being present here isn’t going to help you at all. Well, at least, it will solve some of your minor problems temporarily but that's just for short-term targets.
If you’re stuck in a rat race and trying to get out, Hive isn’t going to make you rich. It gives you enough funds to last in a short term but it’s not always going to be sunshine when the charts run red and bears dominate. I’m saying you should build up first on knowing how to be responsible with your money so that the stuff you earn here can be used for other prudent means of investment. Learn the basics of investing, develop a skill that you can market about you, take on seminars on financial literacy fiat or crypto. Whatever is feasible but don’t expect Hive is going to be the cash cow that solves your money problems.

About the Author
For me Hive, is a superior alternative to Web 2.0 platforms. The difference is that no one has ever deleted or altered any of my comments or posts here like they have on Quora or elsewhere and that by posting here I accumulate tokens that may or may not have value in the future. Web 2.0 platforms offer me better engagement generally but I can find adequate engagement on some niche topics here, too.
That's something we often forget about, that our content elsewhere can just so very easily disappear!

Yes, it can be highly annoying when someone who you're debating about something decides to do the contemptible thing and delete your replies, which they can do if you're commenting on their answer. It is quite annoying when the administrators do it, too. I've also had my comments abbreviated by overzealous moderators because I "quoted too much" on a web forum a couple of times. I just wanted to make sure I was fair to my opponent in a debate by making sure what he said appeared in context. Such a thing never happens on Hive. It is quiet exceptional.

It's true for any crypto - can anyone having BTC guarantee that they are going to be richer than the richest people in the world ? Of course people make money and then store it in FIAT to have financial independence. At the end, you need to have it in FIAT to have independence.

The key to failure is looking at anything - whether it's Hive or BTC or whatever - with a "lottery ticket" mentality.

Yes, that should be the main target of every user here.
I could even go further, and say that I see potential to create local communities using different contracts, NFT for sliding through the govenrnment restrictions, direct democracy, marketplaces, things which make the old FIAT systems obsolete.
It is not easy to find web3 solutions aiming to make the old monetary systems look like dinosaurs. Some people love counting artificial numbers, or is it a habit?
Community and resources, not too difficult to make something outside the norms. Just requires an open mind and a variety of skills. In Nordic areas people used to trade runes, which is basically an physical token. Perhaps some kind of 3D-shapes including information about the situation it was created.
