Before I get to the final results, a quick shout out to say that (in keeping with my plan to set different beneficiaries for 3 of my 4 monthly Power Up Day posts) this is the one of the four that I get part of the rewards from. I have this set as 80% to myself, and 20% of this payout will go to my numbers man extraordinaire, @abh12345!
And now to the business at hand - a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this month's #HivePUD, either through powering up, posting, offering prizes, or spreading the word. Altogether we had:
- 112 posts on the 1st tagged with #HivePUD and/or #HPUD.
- 95 people who powered up and posted on the 1st using #HivePUD and/or #HPUD, with 50 of those qualifying for prizes.
- 6,751.854 Hive (worth approx $13,504.00 USD) powered up from Hive Power Up Day participants during the hours of the first via their local time.
- 39,264 Hive (worth approx $78,528.00 USD) powered up by 314 people during the 24 hour UTC time set to earn @hivebuzz badges (check out their Feedback from the December 1st Hive Power Up Day post for more info).
And as I said in the Unofficial Results post, even though the high Hive price brought us lower than usual participation, the fact that so many people still powered up means it was another wicked awesomesauce Power Up Day, my Hive friends!

Speaking of, and before I get to our usual monthly list of prizes, I figure I should announce the winner of the HivePUD Orca Month prize! 😂 First, a quick reminder of what it's all about - here are some tidbits of the description from @victoriabsb's latest #HPUD For December announcement post -
We are ending the year with a BAM!
The Hive Power Up Initiative wanted to celebrate the end of the year, the ATH of Hive Price and just how awesome is our community with a new special prize!
We want to award the community members who have been constantly growing their HP being part of our initiative from the beginning help them get to the next level that may seem like a little far away now, our amazing sponsors (@Blocktrades and @Theycallmedan) will be awarding each a delegation of 50,000 HP to 2 lucky winners [one from #HPUD, one from #HivePUD] for a whole month! So, they will become Orcas for a Month!

- @blocktrades will delegate 50K for a month to the #HivePUD winner.
So each winner will effectively be an Orca for a month! 🤩 🤩
