The Fortune of François Martin, or How to Become a Crypto-Billionaire

See Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4.

The origin of the fortune of François Martin is the two thousand US dollars he spent to buy Bitcoins in August 2010.

From 2018 to 2021, François did not touch his 10,000 Bitcoins. At times, it was painful to see the price go down to less than $4,000, but he was confident that it will go up at some point in time.
This does not mean that he did not buy other crypto coins. But he used the other coins he had already bought such as NEO and Dash. For example, he bought 8,000 Binance Coins at less than $2. He also bought 10,000 EOS on the first week when they were available to be bought. Other successful coins were Enjin, Cardano, and Stellar. Of course, he also bought other coins that did not succeed, but he was OK with that as it was expected that not all coins would be successful.

François and Borcsi had hired an architect to build their house, and construction started in September 2018. The house had two levels. On the ground level, there was a four-bedroom apartment with a large dining room where 20 people could sit and a one-bedroom apartment. And on the upper floor, there were three three-bedroom apartments, one for each of their children.
They also built a 3 car garage and with a workshop above. François and Borcsi shared the workshop: he was making furniture, she was making pottery.

The four-bedroom apartment was for François and Borcsi. One of the bedrooms was their office and two bedrooms were for guests.
Borcsi's father had died in 2017, so the one-bedroom apartment was for Borcsi's mother, who was a very independent woman but did not like to live alone.
Clovis, Raj, and their family lived in one of the upstairs apartments, and Charles and Amancia in another. The third one was where Joséphine and Jessica stayed when there were in Abbotsford for family meetings or vacations.

Every Sunday evening, the family gathered for dinner in the large dining room.

François did not intend to buy multiple vacation houses; the one they already had in Harrison Hot Springs was enough. When they went on vacation somewhere else, they either stayed in hotels or rent some lodging.
They each had a reasonable car (no Lamborghini or Ferrari) in Abbotsford. They also had another car in Europe, which was parked at his elder brother's house.

The children were doing OK. Each of them was quite independent, so François was not worried about their future.

In February 2020, they stopped having weekly lunches for the tenants of their building.

And, in November 2021, when the price of Bitcoin reaches $100,000, François realized that he had become a crypto-billionaire. What was he going to do with this fortune? He did not need it for himself or for his family.

Continue to Part 6.

Remember that this is a work of fiction. François Martin does not exist (at least not the one in this story). But everything that is described could have happened IRL.

What the! Man, look at all the dream coins François bought at the dream time! I'm not reading this Francois story ever again, I'm too jealous of this brat!😂😂

For the continuation of the story after 2021, I have an idea:

Usually after a hugely successful crypto year comes a little setback. Major coins drop in prices to pick up later. So, 2022, most of François's coins dipped. Bitcoin drops from around 100k to 20k again. But François is not worried because he has been here over and over again over the past years. His other businesses succeed though.

Then corona virus vaccines reaches the whole world and the pandemic is over, everyone is so excited and wild, going out having fun. François and his wife decide to tour the world some more. This time they go to Africa. While in a place called Obudu of Cross River State, Nigeria; a new strain of the corona virus returns! This strain more dangerous than the former, it even survives in the African climate!

Deaths were piling up worldwide and even in the small village François was in. The whole world went into serious lockdown again including Nigeria, François was unable to leave even the small village. Back at the vacation spot, lots of death was recorded, the vacation spot was completely contaminated. Most of the tourists died/were infected. François, his wife and a few others couldn't stay there.

The villagers, however, were very welcoming and they let him stay in a small farm house. François couldn't get money or supplies, the internet there was horrible/never came on. He couldn't contact anyone. He and his wife had to feed solely from the farm like the villagers. It was really a trying 9 months. It was then that François was able to read the philosophical books he had brought. Books by the French philosopher prince François de la Rochefoucauld, Jed McKenna, Kapil Gupta, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Kamal Ravikant, Meditations by the Ancient Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius And Professor Otagburuagu by @nevies (illustrated by @katharsisdrill)😀.

François now came to understand a simple life without material things more, the books coupled with the life he lived with the villagers more. He became a perfect man - a man who had billions and regularly gave himself pleasures with the billions but philosophical and simple enough that he didn't solely depend on them for his happiness.

I asked for suggestions, not a full-blown story 😀

I don't believe that the price of BTC will go down to $20K. Like many others, I think that the four-year cycle is over, as financial organizations had woken up and are/will be investing massively in Bitcoins and other cryptos, mostly for the fees.

As soon as I read that François went to Nigeria, I knew that Professor Otagburuagu would be involved in the story, as it is your own creation.
In any case, you are welcome to continue the story yourself in your own blog.

Thank you for your comment.

Hehehehe. Well, I got carried away and gave like a full blown story😂.

I agree with you, though, it's not likely Bitcoin would goto 20k again. But I was just trying to be unpredictable which crypto has shown itself to be over the years.

I hope you continue the story, though. This crypto fantasy is soothing in a way, it is like reading my wildest crypto dreams. I'd like to continue it too, but maybe only if you stop. But I don't want you to stop. Continue! Thank you.

This part caught me by surprise at the end where btc is worth that much.
Great story from top to bottom.
Well presented.
Bon travail Mr. Vcelier.

I really think that BTC will be worth $100,000 sometime this year, if not more.
