Usually I am always late for pre-sales, especially for splinterlands, next colony, drugwars (though no pre-sale), and even dcity.
This time however, thanks to @wilhb81, I have been watching closely and silently the developments of the Exodegame created by @elindos who has been working very hard to get things going.
I must tell you, this game, like splinterlands, has a pre-sale crowdfunding for hive-bees (and public later) to come onboard for mass adoption; and the starter pack itself can be on par as the Splinterlands starter pack.
Without the starter pack, you can't play this game.
With crucial needs in the real world, prudent spending is quite a must for me these days; and I must say that most of my earnings here has been on Splinterlands because of both gaming capabilities and also the ability to produce new contents from game reviews to strategies.
But will Exode be the next worth while game to invest on?
I wasn't very impressed with Next Colony; and when I saw it's yet again another sci-fi game, I must say, I hesitated for many, many days.
However
The one thing of a successful software / game / website is a dedicated developer and a wow-effect capture of graphics team. These 2 goes hand in hand and it is very important both excels together.

However I must say that the dedicated graphics team just to get it looking nice with some good choice of cinematography scenes do attract gamers to invest on their pack.
Not to mention a huge 50% discount before game launch definitely has its appeal.
And so far pre-sale sequence is pretty easy to follow should you read its questions and instructions carefully.
but because it works on the Hive chain, at this point of time, you will need a HIVE account in order to proceed with the purchase.
Plus if you have a friend to give you a referral code (like you click this link and it automatically will attach to my referral code), you might stand a chance to receive extra booster packs and a bonus epic card as well!
Another fortunate part is that you have 3 different type of payments you can choose from, including using your extra STEEM should you prefer not to send it off to exchanges; and if you don't have enough these two crypto at all, fiat is also welcomed via paypal.
So is this game worth investing?
To be very honest with you, while I have been sharing my experience here on blogging and without mass adoption of both HIVE or STEEM on a daily basis, investing on dapps that are doing their best to expand it to the mass for the blockchain on-boarding could be a better choice should you not need the crypto just as yet. Developers are humans too therefore investment on them could increase the chain robustness and good utilisation; and I hope one day there will be more dapps for other use besides gaming in the future.
But right now, why not?
At least from all the hype in their discord and a responsible developer (like splinterland's and dcity's for my participation) this could pretty much be a nice next blockchain game for 2020, something positive on the cyberspace side to look forward to.
