I've reached 22,000 accumulated HIVE! đ€©
Yes, today, yes! Today is Childrenâs Day!
And although itâs a day of joyâand in my case, one with even greater significanceâbecause June 1, 2010, was when I officially signed the deed to my house. That was when I became the owner of my home. A real giant leap at the time. These days, I donât know if Iâd have the financial means to take out a bank loan at the prices houses are going for now. Just to give you an idea, and the real estate boom had just begunâby 2008, the price I paid in 2010 had more than doubled compared to today! In other words, it was actually a good investment I made. Although that wasnât my intention, if I ever want to leave the country, I can sell the house and make a profit after paying taxes.
As for Childrenâs Day, it was proclaimed in 1952 in Geneva during the World Conference on the Well-being of the Child. But if we look at our world today, unfortunately many children still lack the basic conditions for a dignified life. They have no access to food, no access to a home, or to peace.
Letâs hope that in the near future, more children will be able to enjoy a decent, happy childhoodâfree from hunger, living in peace, and with everything they need to become the adults of tomorrow. Thatâs the only way a society can develop: when it knows how to value its children.
This month has a great reason to celebrate. I managed to accumulate over 22,000 HP!
The charts from the last two months show this. With a VERY NICE upward trend, donât you think? Letâs see if I can also pull off a 1,000 Hive Power Up on the first day next month!
Notice that just from rewards received for posts this past month, I earned over 980 Hive! A great way to help me increase my total from 20,000 to the current 22,000!
My reputation has finally hit the nice round number of 75! Bring on 76! Will I ever make it to 80? Hahaha. Iâll keep dreaming about it.
This month I also managed to gain two more followers, and I want to thank them for that! Thank you so much @dreamrona and @the-suave!
