Car Show over at "The Maples" last Sunday. Got there in the early afternoon after going for a bike ride. Lot of cars. I should have brought my 72' Pontiac Grand Prix.. Because it would have been the only one there.
Check out this restored LA Salle in the Video...
There were a lot oh Oldsmobile 442's, This one happened to be a convertible.
Check out the rear extension on the only Pontiac in the show. As a kid used to build plastic models with the extension option.
One of my favorites 57' Chey...
Best Taxi cab ever made. The iconic Checker Taxi. Noted for their roomy back seats and durability. Started in 1922 and ended in 1982 when they couldn't compete with fleet discounts offered by the big auto companies. > info .. Wikipedia

Nice looking car in it's day. Thinking back it was a wonderful time.
Old American cars are very cool!
Bloody Toyota priuses everywhere here now...taxis are either prius or Camry hybrid
A Camry is like a limo!
funny ....I use to get cabs in the city (NYC) when being sent job to job. Company reimbursed me. I use to let other cabs go by till an empty checker one showed up.. they were more roomy and the drivers were generally more interesting.
