Mercedes Benz eSprinter Electric Van First Look

in Planetauto3 years ago

This is our first proper look at the new fully electric Sprinter van from Mercedes Benz.

It retails for just over £52,000.00 and offers more versatility than the eVito that we drove last year, thanks to it's height and length.

This is the H2 W2 - meaning it's got decent height, and decent length. However, as it's a Sprinter, it's a heavier van, which means it cannot carry as much cargo - around 750kg.

Ours is in the Progressive trim, and is optioned up too. Truth be known, it's well kitted out, and has features you would find in a high end car, including:
Blind Spot Detection
Heated Drivers Seat
Reversing Camera
Automatic Lights
Digital AirCon

It's powered by a 85 kW electric motor, and has a useable battery capacity of around 45 kW's per hour.

It also can recoup a fair bit of it's range using the regen paddles on the back of the steering wheel.
