He turned 3 and wanted a water party. The first birthday celebration with little friends at home.

Saturday morning. My son woke up with a lot of excitement and impatience about the day. It was his third birthday and I can say it’s the first one to be really appreciated by my him. He wanted a water topic - something with sharks and oceans and he wanted to invite some of his friends and have fun at home. Of course it’s his day and we will make our best to fulfill his wishes.

It was like yesterday when I took him and my wife from the hospital and took them home. A lot has changed in such a short time and now he becomes very reasonable with every day counting. Of course, he is a kid and has a long way to walk, but now he will focus mainly on his childhood. He wanted a birthday cake with a shark. I’m happy that nowadays it’s so easy to find the cake that will fit the topic perfectly.

He had the chance to have fun with his nephew and some friends and well, I think it was the first time they were having fun without fighting for some toys. This already is an achievement.

My wife decided to make a game with a box and balls. They had to throw the balls into the opening, which was, of course, decorated like a shark!

We had another idea but we were not sure if it was going to happen, because the weather forecast was not good for the day. Luckily, the sky cleared and we filled the pool on the balcony. It’s relatively small one (160cm) but because we don’t have a decent size yard, this was the perspective for us. It was more than enough for the little fellas and they spend about 1 hour in the pool. I think this was the most liked part of the party.

What about some soap bubble shooting from the terrace with a shark gun? Now the topic was completely fulfilled. Pool, sharks, some tropic fruits like pineapples.

For finishing of the party we had some sort of game, piñata like, but the hard shape was replaced with a soft paper bag with like 10 strings on the bottom. Only 1 string is linked with a cord on the bottom the bag and tears it apart. Well, the candies inside were ultimate joyful end of a great birthday party.

Now he is already waiting for the next year’s birthday, but before that we will have the 2nd birthday of his little brother. We have more than 9 months until the, so a plenty of time to pick another good topic for the party.

I really cannot be more happy with my family and my wife, the main organizer and source of ideas about these parties. I think kids are very happy too!
