Post about a date you've had or would like to have in the future.
I am a man full of surprises and I love to impress. I can be spontaneous and pull something out of the hatchet that no one sees coming. I have to know your kind of person first to know what pleases you so I can go all out to impress you.
I've been in contact talk with this lady for a long time and even though I already sensed the chemistry between us and I know she is the type that loves making things official. She never leaves anything to chance. I've asked her several times to be my girlfriend and she told me I should know what to do. At that moment, I knew she was willing and I only had to make a gesture to consolidate it.
I asked her to a date a week after and I made sure her timing was free and perfect because I know how hard she works. It was a fancy restaurant called "Steinsson's Lifestyle" and to get a slot, you have to make reservations 3 days before. I was hoping to God they would have a free day and I hit the jackpot as they had a free slot for me...just where I wanted it...very close to their see-through glass. It was perfect.
You are allowed to make special requests for the things you want and it comes at an extra cost but I didn't mind. She's worth going all out for. We have met and seen her a few times but as I said, she likes the official stuff. We have been to the movies many times but she just knew what she wanted and I know she would never say anything if I don't do the needful. Her name is Esther by the way.
It was Friday night and I knew she would close early that weekend. I had drycleaned my fancy suit and looked the part of a groom. I ordered a classy flowing gown for her earlier in the week and it was delivered 2 days after. Thank God it wasn't the kind of "What you ordered vs what you got", I would have been angry. It was perfect.on her skin... Slick... Turquoise blue with a touch of pink. I was itching to hug her in that outfit as I know it would bring out her shape and oh boy! That lady knows how to be stunning... effortlessly.
I told the restaurant to organize scented candles for me with her favourite song playing underneath; John Legend's "All of Me" in our private corner. I asked for extra dim light so I could watch the lights shine on her face but trust me, her glow was way better than the lights and she dazzled me even more.
I went over to her place as early as 6:30 pm but I didn't knock on her door until 6:45 pm. The date was 7:00 pm and I know she doesn't joke with timing. She was already dressed and it took us only 15 minutes to get there from her place. I wanted a place closer to her house so I wouldn't have to make her come all the way after the busy week she must have had.
We got to the restaurant at 7:00 pm prompt and we were ushered into our corner. Before then, I opened the door of the car for her and held her hand like a proud owner while all eyes were fixed on my stunning jacket and her sweetly flowing gown. They said when a man opens the door of the car for a lady, it means either the car is new, or the lady is new or the door is broken. None of the three applied, even though she was new, but still, I would love to do it over and over again for 7 date nights to come till eternity.
I held her hand as she sat down comfortably and I sat down across her. I couldn't take my eyes off her because the gown fitted so well on her skin and the way she threw her hair backwards, unpacked gave her a full face. I didn't know when I held her hands and told her she was absolutely stunning.
The menu came...she ordered her favourite bacon asparagus pastry twists as an appetizer before she settled again for a delicious molten lava brownie. She just loves the classy while I settled for "Marry Me Chicken". She knew what I was trying to do and then I later went for Parmesan cheese. She was laughing all through because she knew I am full of surprises and I was about to do something funny. Of course, we keep sipping on our Champagne from time to time. I ordered for a bottle, chilled - or iced as most people would call it.
We were talking about her day and the funny instances that happened in our day earlier. I was throwing in the jokes while at 8:30 pm, they played that song and she just held her face with her hands and I asked her to be my girlfriend. It was just simple lines as I said, "My plan tonight was to make you fall in love with me the more, but for every smile you give, I am the one falling in love. I know you love official and this might look like a marriage proposal, but, would you be my girlfriend? Expect more days like this and I am committed to making you smile even harder after a busy day."
It was simple, so I thought, but even the tears that dropped from her eyes couldn't stop her from looking so beautiful. She nodded amidst tears and said "yes". We both stood up and that was when we shared our first kiss. It was perfect and being a kisser, we were both at it for minutes before I asked her to sit down. I was caught up in the moment before I realized she was on heels. I didn't want her feet to get swollen. We smiled and after 30 minutes, we left. I ordered food to take home for her and I drove her home.
Dropping her off, she looked at me differently than she used to and I could see love seeping through her eyes. At that moment I knew I had outdone myself and I know I can keep up with it. We shared another long kiss at the front of her door before I left. Even as I was driving home, I was doing a video call with her with my phone on the dashboard. I knew she would want to sleep before I get home and I still wanted to see her dazzling face and outfit before I get home too.
