Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 246

  • What's in your refrigerator? Take us on journey using words and images of what's in your fridge this weekend. Use your own photos.*

In Nigeria, we drink sachet water more than bottled water because sachet water is cheaper than the bottled ones, so inside my fridge, I have more sachet water than any other things. I drink more like horse hahaha. I'm okay if I didn't eat but can't be okay without water.

On the first row at the top, I have Containers with food, they are leftovers or meal that I can't afford to waste because it's not easy to get food here in Nigeria, that black wrapped food is wheat mosel that I couldn't finish yesterday, although it's small but I'll just warm it when I feel like eating again.

The plastic that's at the right side has cake inside it and the one wrapped in white on it is also cake, baked by my boss's wife and she's planning to give it out but has to keep it inside my own fridge to keep it from spoil pending the time she'll see the person she want to give it to.

In the middle, I have loaf of bread, a jar of mayonnaise, and some water inside plastic bags (sachet water)

In the bottom, I still water and a small pack of butter

In the fridge door, I have ketchup, honey, and sauces, a small carton of milk and a water bottle that contain lemon 🍋 juice

My goodness these pictures of refrigerators in other countries are making me look like a glutton! I had no idea it was hard to get food in Nigeria. What's going on that is causing that?

We lack good government, hard to make money here and food is damn cost

water is indispensable without a doubt and it is good to make sure you have enough to keep you well; but food is also important. I pray to God to provide you with much more, greetings!

Amen. Thank you
