Introduction
Hello fellow hivers! This is my entry for this weeks #weekend-engagement concept by @galenkp in The Weekend Community
All of the topics proposed by @galenkp for this week are really great, but one topic really struck me the most and that is "Live Again". To be quite honest I have definitely thought of it so many times and wished either I could reborn as a different person or live the same life all over again.
It is quite hard to choose between the two because both of them have pros and cons. But to be quite honest I know deep within my heart I wanted to be reborn again. Not as myself but as someone else.
Reincarnation
Reincarnation is a very popular theme in today's anime. Anime's such as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Wise Man's Grandchild, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, So I'm a Spider, So What?, and The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest just to name a few. The reincarnation themed anime's and manga's have really gained attention over a few years now and it is quite a hit.
I'm pretty sure all of us have thought of being reincarnated at least once in our lives. I mean it can't really be helped can it? Life is hard and everyone views their lives as much harder than anyone else. Most people think other people had it much easier than them and so the thought of reincarnation has always been there. Especially for anime fanatics such as myself, just the thought of it really makes me excited lol
Since I really am a big fan of reincarnation, the biggest question for me now is whether I should reincarnate as myself or someone/something else... Sigh... Such a tough decision but honestly I'm tired of being myself. So I'd rather reincarnate as someone else. I live in a very hot country so I would really love it if I could live in a cold place. I have heard that living in a cold environment is unforgiving but to be quite honest, living in hell is also unforgiving lol. I'd rather die in the cold than dry up from where I'm standing right now.
Also I'd rather be born poor once again. Being rich has it's charms but for me I think getting rich is much fun and rewarding. Most rich people who have been handed the silver/gold platter doesn't really grow as a person as much as people who made it out of the rat race.
Having super powers would be great but very unrealistic. I'd rather be smart than have super powers. Having an unmatched intellect would really be great. If I would be reborn as a genius then it wouldn't matter if I was poor to begin with. I can even do it with my current intellect which is almost negligible at best.
And oh before I forget. Being reborn in another world would be a plus factor. Earth is great and all but living and exploring another planet/world would be great. That would give me so much to look forward to.
Should I be reborn as a man or a woman? Hmmm, honestly I don't think I'm cut to be a woman. So I'd rather be a man still in my next life. Being a woman is tough, probably the toughest thing in the world. Just the thought of giving birth to another person gives chills down my spine so no I don't want to be a woman. So kudos to all the women!

Reincarnation is an interesting concept and even in the truest meaning we kinda are all made from the same atoms and carbon that have been here since the world began, is that not essentially reincarnation?
I'm interested to read your preferences. Cold over hot? Well I think both extremes come with their own discomforts.
Lol don't get me started on unmedicated childbirth, it's not for the faint of heart. It's probably a good reason to remain a man in your next life (my personal experience here and I'm not shaming anyone that chooses epidural or natural birth, it's their own preference just to be clear).

Yeah I know but for me who has been living in this hot hellish climate my whole life I kinda want to experience the cold winter snow in my next life. To be honest I haven't even felt what snow feels like. If snow feels similar to when I'm holding an ice in my hand then I would probably love that feeling. Frostbite is not something I should scoff at but at least you can warm yourself using clothing when you are in extreme cold conditions. Unlike when your in a totally hot environment the only way to cool yourself off is by using air conditioning which is out of my budget 😂
I know exactly what you mean. Here in our country I don't think I have heard of medicated childbirth. I know it exists on other advanced countries but from where I'm from every woman has to bear the pain of childbirth. I have seen a couple of women who almost died because of childbirth that is why I'm quite afraid to become a woman in my next life. This is also the reason why I respect women the most, women are the only person in this world that can make a human being and without women, humans wouldn't exist.

I can't deny that being female is hard but we always tend to pick what we're used to. I feel being male is twice as hard with many more expectations.
I think reincarnating to what we're used to is a lot easier because the struggle of other animals is really unnecessary.
It really depends on each person. I have a lot of female friends and some of them wants to be a man in the next life if they were given the chance. They feel like men have it easy lol but I totally agree with them.
I understand where you are coming from with this but to be honest with you, that is only if and only if the man in question is a responsible man. A kind of man that would do anything to provide for his family even at the expense of his own happiness. To be quite frank, that is quite rare.
I'm already a considerably responsible female. If I were a man, I would be twice as responsible and have even more responsibilities dropped on my shoulders just because I'm male. It's scary when I think about it.
That is good to know. Well if that's the case it can be quite scary indeed 😁

What an interesting post. As for reincarnation, I really feel at times, people I know have come back to earth in another form, so we just don't know!
In my country we believe that the people closest to us will come back in a form of either a butterfly or a moth. So when see a moth or a butterfly that is trying its best to come inside the house, it means that it's our loved ones trying to visit us
Oh I love that belief, so I take it that you don't harm them either. It is a comforting thought then if you see one trying to come in the house.
Yes, we don't harm them or else we would get cursed. It's an old belief and I doubt many still believe in such today but me and my family still believes in it though. Also who would want to harm such beautiful creatures. One has to be very evil to harm them, not only are they beautiful but they are also helpful to make more plants through pollination. While I do hate the caterpillars for eating the leaves of my plants, I just let it be coz at the end of the day when it grows up it will help my plants bear more fruits 😁
Oh yes, we should never harm any pollinator.

Hahaha and me being a woman I have always thought that I would like another life as a man, I definitely see it easier. Maybe I'm wrong, it all depends on the person, but I would like to live as a man.
That is true, I can definitely tell you that life as a man is easier than a woman. Besides child labor, having that menstruation free perk is already good in itself.

I particularly believe in reincarnation, there are things or situations we go through that we think we have seen before, that may be an indication that we are on this planet as another person who had a previous life. thanks for considering women so much, we are definitely the best, hahaha..... I think this is commonly called "déjàvu" and I have experienced it so many times that I also feel that I have been reincarnated and did the same things I did in my past life. This is a very interesting thing as most people don't really believe in such.
No doubt about it women are the best. What I especially like about women is their intuition, women are gifted with intuition that it seems scary lol.
