It all happened back in the summer, and I didn't know in which community it was best to publish this story. And so I found this community! I hope that this will not be a violation of community rules if the events took place a few months ago.
So, it all happened on my girlfriend's birthday. You know, this is the first time we've been together on this day and I wanted to create the coolest day of her life. That's why the birthday started at 12 o'clock at night! Well, everything is as it should be, although she was officially born at 5:10 am.
So at 12 o'clock at night I ran into a room with sparklers, a gift and champagne, where she was already asleep. I tried not to let her sleep for the last hour, but you know how it is? When you do not need to wait for something, you lie down and watch TV series almost until morning, and when you are asked not to sleep, your eyes automatically close.
The first gift I gave was a cute night light, which was made to order. This is a stand that glows with various lights, like a Christmas garland. And on it is a glass plate, which shows a star map. And not just a random picture of the stars, but the starry sky at a certain moment over a certain place. In our case, it was the sky at the moment of my girlfriend birth over her hometown.
Below is the inscription "This sky gave the world you", as well as the exact coordinates, date and time. My girlfriend's mother said I was a romantic 😁 In the morning she had a trip to the spa, where she received a massage and various treatments. At that time, I was dealing with household chores. We agreed to meet later at the centre.
And here, unfortunately, the rain began. It seemed that summer and the weather outside should be wonderful, but not on this day. Unfortunately.
However, despite the fact that some of my plans failed, I quickly came up with new ones. So after the spa, we went for a walk around the city. Plus summer is that the rain is still warm and not cold outside.
After the walk, we went to a well-known institution in Odessa, which is called "Youth". The meaning of this institution is quite difficult to explain to foreigners. After all, you did not live in the post-Soviet period. Fortunately! And for us, it is quite a long period of our lives. There are many authentic pieces from childhood. Dishes, interior elements, music.
For example, beer is served in cans as canning. Instead of the usual sofas and tables, there is furniture from the Soviet era, and instead of napkins, there are old meat grinders. In addition, newspapers are brought to the table instead of tablecloths. That's all, as in my childhood.
But the newspaper there is not simple, but a special issue with famous people from Odessa. Oh, and there are shooters... If you are ever in Odesa, then visit this bar to try their branded shooters. Some resemble chewing gum, and some are very sharp. However, all very tasty!

And after the bar, we went to the sea. Fortunately, it was not very far. Personally, I think that seeing the sea for a birthday is an incredible success! All my life I envied those who could afford it. In general, I love the sea. I fell in love at first sight.
After that, there was a walk around the city with our friends, but my phone ran out, so there are no photos of others. However, there are a lot of memories. Very nice!
