RE: [WE106] Weekend-Engagement concept

Tell us about something you know a lot about.

A lot? Honestly? There is no such thing. Even if I would know 10 000x more about something than what I currently know, I still would not say that I know a lot about it.

The more I know about something, the less I feel I know about it.

Sort:

Fair enough, however so think everyone else knows a lot about something, let me list some of some of those things:

  • How they feel about themselves
  • Love and relationships
  • Adversity and challenges
  • Their own family
  • Their thoughts and opinions
  • Their job function
  • Their personal history
  • Their country

There's a millions things if one has the capacity to think of them. So, I totally disagree with you saying there is no such thing as knowing a lot. Although, it's your prerogative to say it and feel that you don't know much about anything of course.

I don't know how to reply.

You've taken what was a simple writing prompt and turned it into something, well, negative and depressing. Fortunately those who chose to enter the concept have not done the same.

They're not forbidden and I find it completely and totally absurd that you suggest it. I haven't got time for it right now though, I have my own problems and concerns, as does everyone else in the world, so taking on your negativity is not something I'm inclined to do, and in denying your negativity I find positivity.

Hi @xplosive

You know I have also been betrayed by family but I have moved past that and now focus my time on doing better, improving myself and learning from my mistakes of which I admit I've made many, but I still try to find a glimmer of hope in each day.

Galen has been feeling really sick having come down with Covid19 and yet, he's STILL trying to help you and yet, you cannot even come up with one thing that you are passionate about? Something that makes you feel alive? I suffer from depression and it's taken it's toll on me, but I've found ways to manage my illness and still live a semblance of life. It is possible, but you need to want to do it. What are you doing in your life to improve your own situation?

Dwelling on people that have done you wrong is never going to be useful to move you forward, let go of that baggage. It will feel amazing once you do. Trust me.

Then look towards the future and decide what you want it to look like, make a plan even if it's only with small strides at first. There are loads of people on Hive in similar financial situations to you and are open about it, but they also see there are still opportunities ahead of them to make tomorrow a bit better.
