RE: The Ink Well Writing Prize | Rachel's paintings

in The Ink Well3 years ago

Beautiful, moving, colorful story - I love the role of her paint choices, the lighting, the basement, the donated heater, the return of the father, the baby arriving at last, the artist/mother/wife choosing the unexpected. So much is going on in the small space of this short story. Rich with imagery and life issues, all unfolding naturally. Bravo! And congratulations on the Writing Prize!

Thank you very much for the comment @carolkean.

It's a short story but with many alternatives. The colors flow and cause emotions.

There is also movement of people, generosity and solidarity, discovering the basement.

There is renewal and reflection!
