Shola is a student of the University of Jos and has his parents in the southern part of Nigeria. Jos is located in the Northern part of Nigeria. Everyone has a passion for going to the States either for studies or something else. Shola parents are average in terms of wealth, although they have the mind and the resources to train their children to university.
Shola's father's name is Donald. He has something he always says about life and he was nicknamed Easy. To him, life is easy only if you make it so, but hard when you make so as well. According to him, easy life is the mother of success. He has always lived his life as easy as he could but tried his best to make it happen. Mr Easy loves playing draft for fun but not for betting as said by people. His wife does not tolerate nonsense and also wanted his husband to always come home on time no matter the place he is. Anywhere, it is in Mr Easy's blood to always come home on time.
Shola on the other hand, while in school has a passion to go to the States at least once in his life. He is passionate and persistent to travel by aeroplane to the States. Anytime he is seeing aeroplanes, always have it in his mind that he will be on the plane one day. To him, it was just as if his dream was coming to fulfilment soon. He kept on working hard as he had learnt from his dad to always take life Easy. He learnt that easy life is the one that can push one ahead of life's hardship. When one is taking life so easy, there is every evidence that he shall make it through life. This will come through hard words.
Shola is the brilliant type and does not want to take chances when it comes to his education. One day a state scholarship form was out and the major reason for bringing this scholarship is to send students abroad to experience the life of an outside country. The management is to take those who emerged as the best three as winners. They will be given the sum of $20,000, $15,000 and $10,000 respectively. They will also have the opportunity of going to their dream countries for five days. This got Shola amazed after hearing the price tag and the second prize was the one he always dreamt of.
He started preparing even after hearing that their exams will be coming up soon. He was reading his books preparing for his exams and also preparing for the scholarship. The fact remains that he was always thinking of travelling through the air as he had once dreamt of. He read his books to his satisfaction and without doubt, he was so sure of himself. He is a brilliant boy who always works very hard in his class.
There were four days left for the exams to be written, Shola was ever ready to write the exam and had confidence at all times. Writing the exam to pass was not his problem because working hard is his priority. It was time for the exam and Shola took money from it which she used as transport to the venue. When he got there he saw many faces of people who he thought would overtake him. He met a friend, Mark who was also brilliant just like him.
"Hello!!!" Shola echoed to Mark. "Hi, what is your name?" He asked Mark with confidence.
Mark responded, "I'm Mark and you?"
Shola responded "I'm Shola"
What's your seat number" asked Shola
"1052 and yours'? Mark responded.
It seems we are almost close to each other, I'm.number 1021, Shola responded.
They became good friends and revised some things together. That was when Shola got to know that Mark is someone who has talents and has a passion for his education just like him.
They went into the exam Hall as they were called to locate their seat numbers. It was just 20 minutes to the time and commencement of the examination where all the students went in their exams. The script and question papers we shared. Immediately Shola sun questions she began to smile and indeed was smiling. After the exams, he met with his friend. They both went to buy some snacks outside.
Now they bead themselves farewell but had already exchanged their phone number that is contacted. It was 1 month and a day they had been expecting the announcement of the results. Indeed Shola was just watching television and listening to the news on a particular station. That was when he heard his name being mentioned to the general populace on TV. He emerged in the first position why his friend Mark emerged in the third position. What a coincidence. He was very happy likewise his dad Mr Eazy and the mum.
Now his dream has come to fulfilment. He called his friend and told him about his position in the already written scholarship examination. They prepared to travel 4 a five days tour.
Shola prepared and took off to the airport to his surprise met his friend Mark. They travelled to Italy. In Italy, they saw many great things and things they had never seen before. Shola's dream of entering the aeroplane was fulfilled.
Day 1:
They went to the hotel they lodged them in. Two rooms were lodged for them but the two friends decided to stay in one room instead. On the first day, they were not allowed outside but were fed to their satisfaction.
Mr Bob was the one who took them on the tour in conjunction with Mrs Mars. So, their first day was to stay in their rooms.
Day two:
The second was great as it was to go to the museum and some amusement parks. It was so interesting. The third one is a girl. They were moving together.
Day three
Mr Bob took them to the government house which got them afraid while they were entering the compound. It was surrounded by soldiers who were guarding the compound. They entered and saw many happenings.
Day four
They were taken to the Juventus field to watch football. Luckily for them, Juventus were playing with Napoli. They watched the game to the finishing point. Shola was so happy watching football.
Day five
which was the final day, they were taken to the beach to feed their eyes. When they were back, they arranged their bags and took off to Nigeria.
Their money was transferred to their respective accounts. Shola, Mark and Hanna were extra and extremely happy as well as their parents.

Hi, @cool08. You create a universal character, a responsible young student who wants to travel to the USA but who wins a scholarship and spends five days in Italy... At some point I missed the reason for the change of heart in the choice of the trip. At the end of reading I feel that there is something missing that will make the story very interesting.
I look forward to reading more of your stories. Keep writing.

Good job adding some dialog to your story, @cool08. That is a great skill to develop! Your story is still mostly narrative, and I think as you build skills with action and dialog you will find your stories coming to life. Read a few stories by @ubani1 and @bruno-kema for inspiration. They have both mastered the art of getting into the story's action as quickly as possible, and using dialog throughout their stories. This makes the story really interesting for readers. And this makes people look forward with anticipation to the next story.
