Lana was a brave young girl, beautiful and amazing, always smiling but little things brought out the temper inside of her. Lana was into sports most especially rugby where they play as if they were each other's enemies. Lana was the vice president of her team, the red labels. Even though she was good at rugby, she still had this secretive mission of becoming a great doctor. Lana was from a rich family background. Mr and Mrs Johnson were having problems bearing a child years back even when they had enough money. After a lot of tests and check-ups, Mrs Johnson was later pregnant. It was an outstanding surprise to Mr Johnson, he thought to himself he was going to be a father after all the ruthless rumours about their family.
It was a beautiful morning when they heard her screaming in the room. The maid ran up to her only to see her breathing fast and holding her tummy tight .It was painful tears that were rolling from her eyeball. Mrs Rozero, the head maid, called for the others and they reached for the car. Mr Johnson was not around as he was having an important meeting which he reluctantly went for. She was taken to the nearest hospital and redirected to the emergency ward where she almost lost her life to deliver the child safely. Later that evening, she gave birth to the loving cute little girl. Mr Johnson was called at that moment but could not receive his calls. After several attempts, he took permission to answer the calls and indeed it was a surprise and good news call. He was smiling and tears of joy rolled down his cheeks. He said to himself "I'm a father now ".
He took his car and headed towards the hospital and got to the receptionist. The receptionist directed him to the ward where his wife was seated upright with her face a bit pale looking at her baby that was curled around her arm. She did not even know when he entered and placed his arm on the child. She looked up and smiled at him, cleaning the tears that had sprinkled on her face. He collected the baby from her slowly.
16 years later
Lana continued her normal way of living being the v.p of the red labels rugby. Lana was very intelligent at school even when she was engaged in different activities in school. She did not go to parties, clubs or even have no boyfriend. She was just too busy to settle down and have fun. her parents had been a great help to her and had given her the support and all her needs and everything she needed.
Early in the morning, she got up and dressed. She was having a tutorial by 9:00 am and it was already 6:30 am. She packed all her things and started walking as fast as she could. As the head of the department, she was asked to reach school before 6:15 am. She got into a cab and boarded it to School. She got down and paid her transport fee and ran to class feeling exhausted after running. She sat on her chair and looked at her wristwatch, it was 6:49 am. She sighed in believing she was able to come in time though people started coming and as usual she sat alone so she didn't even bother to look up. as they were all coming and entering the class, then she noticed that someone had removed sat down beside her, she lifted her head to the other side where she saw a guy, not taller than her as an amazing figure wearing black jeans and a blue shirt, his hair was smooth and glimmering she then thought to herself that perhaps he was cute .she quickly turn her gaze to the class podium when she heard the lecturer's voice who was greeting them and within 30 seconds he has started giving them points.
When he was done, he told all of them to write a British note from the topic. She was not surprised and just like that she started writing her answers into her paper. she was flabbergasted when he touched her hands telling her to calm down that she had made a mistake. when she was writing the second point she looked at her sheet yet he was not writing his paper but was just checking for her own mistakes. He said to her to stop staring at him and she should correct her paper. Although he was done with his test. she gulped down her saliva and started rewriting when she was done checking and then submitted. She went after the lecturer to thank him but accidentally saw his script which fell on the floor. She picked it up to give to the lecturer only to find out that it was empty. She regretted not correcting him when he asked. I hope we meet again to correct my view.
Lana and Jake became close friends. It was her first time to have a friend and not just that but a boy. She had gone back home for the holidays. She did talk to him every time and they both chatted. She was now having different feelings for him. Her dad called her one morning after they finished their breakfast. He told her to sit and he asked her the process of being an engineer. He asked her if she was still keeping her grades to enter her final year with 1st class upper. He wanted to know just to prepare her ways into his new company as an engineer. She was speechless, as she knew nothing about engineering instead of medicine, which is her choice.
The dad replied.."Do you mean you want to be medical? Daddy, I'm going to follow my mind by becoming an engineer.
tell me that you want to be a medical doctor when I asked you to be an engineer? are you okay? he bounced at her and she turned back saying "I am going to be a medical doctor and that is final with that". she dashed to her room throwing herself on her bed with pain. Her dream of becoming a medical doctor is already going astray. She needs to stand for her rights. She went to meet her mom and explain everything to her but she didn't give her the best answer she was expecting.
Then she dialled Jake's number twice ringing, he picked. he asked her what the problem was as she was sounding so strange on the phone. She narrated everything to him. He felt pity for her and asked if he could help. She told him she was going to come and stay at his place. He was shocked but he accepted because he was the only one at home. She packed a few of her belongings and went to Jake's house. After some days, her dad found out about this and threatened Lana that he would kill Jake. She did not leave Jake's place.
She left Jake's house and rented a small hut near the river from where she goes to school. She works hard to pay for her school fees and studies hard. Sometimes Jake's help her with her school fees but not all the time. She suffered a lot to the extent that she cannot feed herself with two square meals and only has two clothes. She endured till she finished university.
Jake and Lana graduated and were employed immediately as a medical doctor in the most expensive hospital in the town.
And Jake later proposed to her which she accepted.
Her parents later regretted their actions and asked for Forgiveness. She forgave them.
Then she made a statement when she was giving her speech to the audience
"NO PAIN NO GAIN"
My desire has been fulfilled.
