Jemima, a brilliant young marketing specialist, was doing remote jobs at home to take care of her bills and other things. But the jobs don't always come as expected. So she decided to apply for a physical job, even if the job is hybrid, so she can have a steady source of income during those months when no remote jobs come by.
When an offer came out at a pellet advertising company, she was very happy and ran to tell her friend Oma that she had gotten an offer to start work. Oma wasn't very happy but pretended to be. She inquired from her how she managed to hear about the opening. She told her about a church member.
She was like, 'Okay.' So, Jemima suddenly remembered that Oma works in that company. She asked her if she wasn't aware of the opening. And Oma replied, "Yes," that she didn't know because her department doesn't handle that. Jemima, not suspecting anything, let it slide.
Finally, on the D day, it has come for Jemima to resume. As she stepped in, she was greeted with a warm welcome but didn't meet her friend Oma. Well, she took it that Oma was busy in her department. Later, she was added to a dynamic team as an assistant, which didn't go well with the others, but they had no other choice but to accept it. Throughout her stay in the office that day, she didn't see Oma.
Before the work day is over,She has formed strong bonds with her colleagues, except for one person, Oma. Oma, feeling overshadowed by Emily's creativity and smartness, began to avoid contact with her. She formed her own clique of friends too, just to show Jemima who the boss is.

The funny thing is that Jemima didn't even notice that Oma was not happy for her until Zara brought it to her notice and pointed out the details she should pay attention to. At first, she dismissed Zara's pointer, but when a seed is being sown, it always has a way of growing in the heart of a human.
One fateful day, Jemima decided to confront Oma about why she has been avoiding her. However, Oma told her that she likes to mind her own business while in the office, and that's all. But Jemima, being a kind-hearted person, asked her if they could at least have lunch together once in a while. Ever since she started working, she just feels Oma is pulling away from her.
After much persuasion from Jemima, Oma finally gave in and promised to go out with Jemima for lunch. So gradually, Oma, Jemima, and Zara became close friends. They were always seen working together, going for lunch, until a project came up and everyone was asked to bring their ideas in writing.
Jemima's work was the best among everybody's own. Oma felt bad but happy; she has always feared that Jemima will overtake her, knowing how intelligent she is. Zara, on the other hand, was all over the place and even took them out for lunch. One morning, as Jemima came to work, there were whispers everywhere and her colleagues were looking at her like a criminal. She went to sit and tried to talk to some of her colleagues, but they gave her the cold shoulder, including Zara.
Unknown to Jemima, someone was spreading false rumors about her work ethic and integrity. As the rumors circulated, Jemima's colleagues started to doubt her abilities. Meetings became tense, and collaborations suffered. Jemima, sensing something was amiss, tried to brush it off, but there was still this ill-at-ease feeling, focusing on her work.

However, when her crucial project was unfairly criticized, Jemima decided to investigate. She discovered Zara's scheme and confronted her. It turns out that Zara never liked Jemima from the onset, as she felt that Jemima took all the attention away from her. She became more bitter when the project she had been working so hard on was awarded to Jemima.
She was trying to paint Oma in a bad light, knowing Oma was just jealous but meant no harm. After the confrontation, the truth was revealed, and Zara's actions were exposed to their manager.
The manager addressed the issue, and Zara apologized. Jemima's reputation was restored, and the team's dynamics improved. Jemima continued to excel and her colleagues learned the importance of trust and open communication. Jemima and Oma friendship grew more, Oma decided to learn from Jemima instead of feeling jealous and Zara was transferred.
