Starting Over

Ever since I arrived in the country, it was a bit difficult contacting him but I got through. I hope it will be worth it. He's a large part of my life and I want to get to know him. I have so many questions but I am battling so much anxiety and doubt. Did he ever love me? If he did, why did he leave? Why did he never bother to find me or stay in touch? -@kemmyb

A good story. What fascinated me was Selena's running commentary on the woman in the park. Selena seems fixated on the woman's parenting. This on a day when Selena is meeting a father who failed to parent her properly. It was a kind of parallel development, and added insight into Selena's emotional acceptance of her father's neglect.

I enjoy it when an author brings intelligence to a story, rather than writing for mere entertainment. I saw that intelligence here. -@agmoore

The Wizard of the Realms

As he approached the gateway, his thoughts went to the Denags who had sired the seeds still hatching in his large insides. Not a good way to die, he thought. But he was their wizard, who else but him to lead their offspring to safety. For a moment his thoughts went to Xara, and he smiled with monstrous satisfaction at his imminent success... -@seesladen

What happens when you mix a gargoyle, lechery and a treacherous wizard? A fantastic story by @seesladen. This is a complex plot, but not difficult to follow. This line is priceless:

and for those heavy with seeds, it exhumed them from their insides and planted their souls in the belly of Shizam to be hatched and vomited alive when ready.

Survive the Night

Slowly, I dropped the phone on the floor, then raised my hands. I dared not look back because the gun was still pointed at my head.
He walked me towards where his other members were in the living room. There were four of them, all dressed in black, and wearing Mickey Mouse masks. "Who goes on a robbery with such a mask?" -@ubani1

Wonderful action, @ubani1! You had my heart pounding. There is nothing so terrifying as people breaking into your home with guns... unless they also are threatening your children! Well done. I'm so glad she got that call in to the police before the criminals found here. -@jayna

Silver Pond

Before long, they were both feeling the cool breeze that accompanies the existence of a pond. After leaving the last line of trees behind, Uncle Jack's jaw dropped as he gazed at the golden reflection of the moon on the silvery lagoon and the peacefulness with which fireflies flitted here and there. -@gabmr

Wow very interesting story
We need to forgive ourselves and turn away from the monster in us and move to the good side. Good that Uncle Jack got a second chance to turn a new leaves. Thanks for sharing with us -@smartgirl5

For Those Who Can't Love

It was a cloudy Tuesday in the same place, mood, and music. The café was like holding a burial with its plain, dead silence among the customers but serenaded by the soft ballad song from the radio.

"Max," she called me in that feminine, being-devouring voice. "Can we go back to the way it used to be?" -@meelo

The story of loneliness and the pain caused by people's labels. We need to appreciate that the proportion of what unites us is far greater than what differentiates us as humans. Your story is well told, coherent and believable. -@gracielaacevedo

Firework O'Clock

Once at the stadium they didn't take the escalators but decided to walk Balibali mall which was on the third floor. They were in no rush and both had been dying to see the rumored futuristic architecture that's sprinkled with traditional designs. Three words. Elegance without trying. With each floor they were more astonished than with the last. -@ange.nkuru

Lena decides to give her sister a great time watching the fireworks. She will sacrifice other commitments to achieve this. But it's all worth it!

Keep writing, @ange.nkuru. -@gracielaacevedo
