China wins five medals in speed skating at the Four Continents Games.

Over the weekend in Quebec, Canada, Chinese speed skaters won a gold, two silvers, and two bronzes at the ISU Four Continents Speed Skating Championships.

In the short distance team pursuit, a non-Olympic event, Zhang Lina, Pei Chong, and Yang Binyu's Chinese team won the gold medal in one minute, 30.596 seconds. The men's Chinese team came in sixth.

Yang Binyu placed second in the women's mass start with a time of 9:15.300, and Shen Hanyang took third in the men's mass start with a time of 8:16.409.
In the women's team pursuit, the Canadian team of Beatrice Lamarche, Valerie Maltais, and Maddison Pearman took first place with a time of 3:06.877 to win the gold medal. South Korea came in third (3:11.190), followed by China (3:11.273).

Prior to Canada, South Korea won the men's team pursuit, and China finished third to win the bronze.

The upcoming ISU World Cup competitions will be held in Calgary, Canada, on December 9–11 and December 16–18.
