There's over a hundred web sites that interact with the HIVE blockchain. The outsider review is writing a review a day for all of these wonderful sites.
Today's review will look at Cent Social which supplements HIVE rewards with the CENT coin. A unique feature is that the token seeks to be worth one penny.
A lot of countries have coins that are worth a penny. I believe that they are targeting the US penny.
Currently the US is using a copper coated zinc slab for its penny. The US used to use a copper penny. The Federal Reserve inflates the dollar, so the copper penny now is worth about three cents.
The cent tribe is relatively new. There's currently only 44 accounts with over 100 staked coins.
The tribe focuses on discussions of economics. I am hoping that this discussions on the Cent tribe will tend to serious discussions of economic issues in contrast to LeoFinance which has posts on finance and specific crypto.
Unfortunately, we will probably see people playing the game where they put both tags in all of their posts which will turn CENTblog.org into a pointless copy of LEO.
The CENT Richlist shows that only 44 people have staked more than 100 coins so far.
I was surprised by this poor showing as new tokens tend to give out the best rewards in the first few months of the site's operation.
I am not exactly certain how the reward structure of the different tribes work. HIVE Engine Tools does not show configuration information for the CENT token. It is possible that the rewards are distributed by something other than ScotBot.
As for My Strategy
I bought 50 CENTs on @yintercept so that I could be part of a tribe's 50 Cent Army.
The interface shows that my 50 CENT investment is giving out a 0.25 CENT award. That is a pretty sweet return. I don't know the author/curator split.
Since CENT is giving out decent rewards, I will set a goal of accumulating a thousand CENTS this year. If a CENT is really worth a cent, a 1,000 CENT would be worth ten bucks. Maybe, I will set my site on 2,000 CENT.
