Improvising

Hoy tenía ganas de dibujar, pero al mismo tiempo no sentía una motivación tan grande, es raro, pero me pasa muy seguido. Asi que el dibujo de hoy no tiene algún significado profundo, simplemente fue improvisación, incluso el cabello lo cambie como 3 veces antes de el boceto final, llegue a frustrarme un poco, pero al final todo hace parte del proceso de crear algún dibujo. Finalmente, no se como sentirme al respecto, ya que hay cosas que me gustan de este retrato, pero otras que no. Espero que les guste.

Today I felt like drawing, but at the same time I didn't feel that motivated. It's rare, but it happens to me a lot. So today's drawing doesn't have any deep meaning; it was simply improvisation. I even changed the hair about three times before the final sketch. I got a little frustrated, but in the end, it's all part of the process of creating a drawing. Ultimately, I don't know how to feel about it, since there are things I like about this portrait, but others I don't. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Después de batallar un rato pude terminar el boceto, luego empecé a pintar con colores muy saturados y amarillentos combinados con tonos rosas y marrones. Aplique las sombras y luces y luego construí mejor la estructura agregando mas colores, mezcle todo con una opacidad media para mantener la textura, para terminar con el rostro pinte las cejas y pestañas de color negro.

After struggling for a while, I was able to finish the sketch. Then I began painting with highly saturated, yellowish colors combined with pink and brown tones. I applied shadows and highlights, then further built the structure by adding more colors. I blended everything with a medium opacity to maintain the texture. To finish the face, I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes black.

Ahora pinte el cabello con negro y agregue pequeños reflejos de marrón claro. Para el fondo use diferentes colores que sustraje de la piel y los mezcle, el cabello se veía un poco simple, asi que decidí dibujar pequeñas perlas. No se porque quise agregarle como una especie de corazón en el ojo con rojo, pero me gusto asi que lo dejé. Como siempre agregue iluminaciones al rostro y finalmente se me ocurrió agregar varios efectos para darle un acabado diferente, primero use un pincel duro y di brochazo de color alrededor para después jugar con las opciones de capas y que se viera líneas luminosas azules, no se si esto no fue buena idea pero me gusto un poco mas asi. Y termine aplicando un efecto difuminado.

Now I painted the hair black and added some light brown highlights. For the background, I used different colors I subtracted from the skin and mixed them together. The hair looked a bit plain, so I decided to draw small pearls. I don't know why I wanted to add a sort of heart shape in red on the eye, but I liked it, so I left it. As always, I added highlights to the face, and finally, it occurred to me to add several effects to give it a different finish. First, I used a hard brush and applied a few strokes of color around the edges, then played with the layer options to make the blue lines appear luminous. I don't know if this wasn't a good idea, but I liked it a little better this way. And I finished by applying a blurred effect.

The way you personally play around with color is amazing. The sketches and the varieties of colors is really a smart move. I especially admire the bead-like display used in holding her hair up. I really love how colorful your art is, it captivated me almost immediately.
