What's up fellows as you are? today publishing something later than usual however with the same quality as always, I hope you like it, since a couple of days ago I had the idea of drawing myself with a samurai armor, but in the morning I was thinking what if I do the same samurai armor in an owl? and well the result is beautiful, I hope you like it.

Que pasa compañeros como están? hoy publicando algo mas tarde de lo habitual sin embargo con la misma calidad de siempre, espero les guste, desde hacer un par de días tenia la idea de dibujarme ami mismo con una armadura samurai, pero en la mañana estaba pensando que tal si hago la misma armadura samurai en un búho? y bueno el resultado es hermoso, espero les guste.

Process / Proceso

Sketch / Boceto

As you can see I needed some reference images to be able to make a decent armor, it was quite difficult to draw the joints of the chest with the armor protectors, until I remembered that in Naruto a character (Madara) has one of these armors linked with wire, so I used that way of joining the parts of the samurai armor.

Como se dan cuenta necesite algunas imágenes de referencia para lograr hacer una armadura decente, estaba bastante difícil dibujar las uniones de la pechera con los protectores de brazos, hasta que recordé que en Naruto un personaje (Madara) Tiene una de estas armaduras enlazadas con cable metálico, así que use esa manera de unir las partes de la armadura samurai.

Painted / Pintado

I'm already letting go enough when it comes to painting and making owls, both in the sketch and the painting of the fur, which is one of the most difficult things that these animals have to paint, after painting the fur, because it was a small amount I decided to paint the armor as it is the most striking and relevant drawing, Of course I had to be careful with the paint on the fur because we need an owl not a kind of pigeon xD, to paint the armor I decided to use a dark red color with some golden lines to highlight the armor.

Ya estoy soltando la mano bastante a la hora de pintar y realizar búhos, tanto en el boceto como el pintado del pelaje, que es una de las cosas mas difíciles que tienen estos animales para pintar, después de pintar el pelaje, porque era poca cantidad decidí pintar la armadura ya que es lo mas llamativo y relevante el dibujo, claro igual tuve que tener cuidado con el pintado del pelaje pues necesitamos un búho no una especie de paloma xD, para pintar la armadura decidí utilizar un color rojo oscuro con algunas lineas doradas para resaltar la armadura.

Shadows / Sombras

The painted shadows were placed on the right side of the drawing, because the light this time would come from the front due to the pose of the animal, I was very careful painting the shadows because I needed them perfect to give depth to the face and the armor.

El pintado de las sombras en esta ocasión estaban colocadas al lado derecho del dibujo, pues la luz esta vez vendría del frente debido a la pose del animal, tuve mucho cuidado pintando las sombras pues las necesitaba perfectas para darle profundidad a la cara y de la armadura.

Lights / Luces

The lights this time came from the left side, placed in a layer of luminosity with low opacity, as there were still many glows to add, so I only needed a light base color to start lighting with a more intense touch.

Las luces esta vez venían del lado izquierdo, colocadas en una capa de luminosidad con la opacidad baja, pues aun faltaban muchos brillos por agregar, así que solo necesitaba un color claro base para comenzar a iluminar con un toque mas intenso.

Background / Fondo

In the background I wanted to represent the bloody and blasted battles where the samurai were fighting, look for an orange landscape illuminated by the devastation of war.

En el fondo quise representar las batallas sangrientas y despediadas donde luchaban los samurai, busque que un paisaje naranja iluminado por la devastación de la guerra.

Details / Detalles

Among the details we have very important parts like the shadows added in the to highlight the parts of the gold and the armor, also I added some shines completely to mouse, also I noticed that in some armors, specifically in the case there were some figures of animals, so I decided to color the face of an owl in that part, I hope you like it.

Entre los detalles tenemos partes muy importantes como las sombras añadidas en la para resaltar las partes del oro y de la armadura, ademas agregue algunos brillos completamente a mouse, también note que en algunas armaduras, específicamente en el caso habían algunas figuras de animales, así que decidí color la cara de un búho en esa parte, espero le guste.
