Hello my friends of Sketchbook and hive, today it is a pleasure for me to greet you and I am very excited to show you my new drawing, the first of this year 2023.

It's been a while since I've shared a drawing here since I haven't drawn anymore, but these days I got serious and I told myself that I had to draw. When I have time without drawing I usually like to do something simple, so that I get it right and not get frustrated, but this time it was not the case, on the contrary I set myself a challenge and I ended up drawing something very beautiful and I invite you to read the step by step.

Hola mis amigos de Sketchbook y de hive, hoy es un placer para mi saludarlos y vengo muy emocionado a mostrarles mi nuevo dibujo, el primero de este año 2023.

Hace algún tiempo que no comparto un dibujo por aquí ya que no había dibujado más, pero en estos días me puse serio y me dije a mi mismo que tenía que dibujar. Cuando tengo tiempo sin dibujar generalmente me gusta hacer algo simple, para que me salga bien y no frustrarme, pero esta vez no fue el caso, al contrario me puse un reto y terminé dibujando algo muy hermoso y los invito a leer el paso paso.

Okey, as I told you it's the first drawing of the year, and that's why I was really nervous, I wanted it to be a really nice drawing to start the year on the right foot, make the right impression and let my name stand out. As always I started looking for inspiration on pinterest and instagram, I couldn't find anything I wanted to draw, but then I found a beautiful girl on my instagram, the actress who gives life to Bia in the Disney series, she has always seemed very beautiful to me and with the pictures I saw, I was motivated to draw her.

Okey, como ya les dije es el primer dibujo del año, y por eso estaba realmente nervioso, quería que fuera un dibujo muy lindo para empezar el año con el pie derecho, dar la talla dejar mi nombre en alto. Como siempre empecé buscando inspiración por pinterest y por instagram, no conseguía nada que quisiera dibujar, pero luego me encontré con una hermosa chica en mi instagram, la actriz que le da vida a Bia en la serie de Disney, ella siempre me ha parecido muy hermosa y con las fotos que vi, me motive a dibujarla.

STEP BY STEP✨

I started doing the sketch, and I was very concentrated, it is a challenge for me because I was going to draw a person in profile, something I don't usually do, but you know, you always have to challenge yourself to get rewarding results. I took out my pencil and started to do the sketch, I'm going to be honest, I got frustrated several times because it didn't look like it and I didn't like it.

Empecé haciendo el boceto, y estaba muy concentrado, es un reto para mi porque iba a dibujar a una persona de perfil, algo que no suelo hacer, pero ya saben, siempre hay que ponerse retos a uno mismo para conseguir resultados gratificantes. Saqué mi lápiz y empecé a hacer el boceto, les voy a ser sinceros, si me frustré varias veces porque no se parecía y no me gustaba.

But I didn't give up, what I thought was that when I started coloring it would be similar. I started coloring the skin, the first thing I did was to color the whole face with a hyper light beige color, this to have it as a base, and then I went on while I saw the photo and little by little adding the shadows and shines that I saw, trying to make it as similar as possible.

With sienna brown I tanned the skin a little and made it more orange, with yellow I did the glosses, with red I did the red parts of the nose, cheeks and lips and with a darker brown color I did the shadows.

Pero no me rendí, lo que pensé es que cuando empezara a colorear se iba a ir pareciendo. Empecé coloreando la piel, lo primero que hice fue colorear toda la cara con un color beige hiper clarito, esto para tenerlo como base, y luego fui avanzando mientras veía la foto y poco a poco añadiendo las sombras y brillos que veía, tratando de hacerlo lo más parecido posible.

Con café siena fui bronceando un poco la piel y haciéndola más naranja, con amarillo hice brillos, con rojo hice las partes rojitas de la nariz, cachetes y labios y con un color marrón más oscuro fui haciendo las sombras

And little by little I added more details to the drawing, more shadows and more shines, I also colored the eyebrows, the lips and the eyes.

The drawing changed drastically when I colored the eyes, and I liked it a lot, what I didn't like so much were the eyebrows, because the eyebrows of the girl I drew are more arched and longer, while the eyebrows I did are shorter and less arched.

Y poco a poco fui añadiendo más detalles al dibujo, mas sombras y más brillos, así mismo le coloreé las cejas, los labios y los ojos.

El dibujo cambió drásticamente cuando le coloreé los ojos, y me gustó mucho, lo que si no me gustaron tanto fueron las cejas, porque las de la chica a la que dibujé son más arqueadas y largas, mientras que las cejas que yo hice son más cortas y menos arqueadas.

And with the same colors and the same procedure I colored the skin of the neck and chest, I used the colors beige, sienna brown, dark brown, red and also orange, I was mixing and degrading the colors so that everything made sense and looked good.

I also colored the blouse, which in the original image I used as a reference is a dark navy blue, I wanted to highlight the warmth of the girl's skin with a lighter and more vibrant blue and that's how I did it.

Y con los mismos colores y el mismo procedimiento coloreé la piel del cuello y pecho, use los colores beige, café siena, café oscuro, rojo y también naranja, fui mezclando y degradando los colores de manera que todo tuviera sentido y se viera bien.

También coloreé la blusa, que en la imagen original que usé como referencia es un azul marino bastante oscuro, yo quise resaltar lo cálido de la piel de la chica con un azul un poco más claro y vibrante y así fue como lo hice.

And then came the most exhausting part of the drawing, I mean the hair, which took me about an hour or more to do, and as I was excited to finish the drawing I did it non-stop, which had its consequences.

This girl has a beautiful abundant brown hair and when I chose this picture I never thought about how exhausting it was going to be to color the hair, because the hair occupies a large percentage of the drawing I lasted a long time doing it and after finishing it I had a very sore ring finger, and it lasted hurting me for a while.

I was so concentrated in doing the hair that I didn't take a picture of the whole procedure, I only took a picture of when I started to do it, I was defining little by little the strands of hair. I used the colors, sienna brown, black and dark brown. In the reference image you can see the hair very dark, I wanted to add some highlights to make it look more dynamic and colorful, I did this with the sienna brown and it was very nice like a caramel color.

Y luego vino la parte más agotadora del dibujo, me refiero al cabello, que me tomó como una hora o más para hacerlo, y como estaba emocionado por terminar el dibujo lo hice sin parar, lo que trajo sus consecuencias.

Esta chica tiene una hermosa cabellera abundante de color marrón y cuando escogí esta foto nunca pensé en lo agotador que iba ser colorear el cabello, debido a que el cabello ocupa un gran porcentaje del dibujo duré mucho tiempo haciéndolo y luego de terminarlo tenía el dedo anular bien lastimado, y me duró doliendo por un rato.

Estaba tan concentrado en hacer el cabello que no le tomé foto al procedimiento completo, solo le tomé foto a cuando lo empecé a hacer, que fui definiendo poco a poco los mechones de cabello. Usé los colores, café siena, negro y marrón oscuro. En la imagen de referencia se le ve el cabello muy oscuro, yo quise añadirle algunas iluminaciones para que se viera más dinámico y colorido, esto lo hice con el café siena y quedó muy bonito como un color caramelo.

After finishing the hair, I was very tired, but I decided not to stop and continue with the background, I had in mind to do something simple and as I was a little tired so I did. For the background I chose two colors, green and blue, both applied in a very soft way, and I also did my best to make it colored in a uniform way, I was coloring very carefully and without marking strongly the colors and coloring horizontally to give the sensation of sky.

Then to finish the drawing I did some hair on her face and neck and also on the outside to give the feeling of looseness and give more dynamism to the drawing. And after so much effort this was the final result.

Luego de terminar el cabello, estaba muy cansado, pero decidí no parar y continuar con el fondo, tenía en mente hacer algo simple y como estaba un poco cansado entonces así hice. Para el fondo escogí dos colores, verde y azul, los dos aplicados de una manera muy muy suave, y también hice lo posible para que quedara coloreado de manera uniforme, fui coloreando con mucho cuidado y sin marcar con fuerza los colores y coloreando de manera horizontal para dar la sensación de cielo.

Después para ya terminar con el dibujo hice algunos cabellos sobre su cara y cuello y también por fuera para dar la sensación de soltura y darle más dinamismo al dibujo. Y luego de tanto esfuerzo este fue el resultado final.

I'm really proud that this drawing is the first one I've done this year, I'm sure that this year I'm going to draw a lot and improve a lot. I'm very happy with the final result, I'm not sure that it looks like the reference, however the drawing as such was very good, especially the hair that took me a lot of work to do it.

Realmente estoy muy orgulloso de que este dibujo sea el primero que hago en el año, estoy seguro de que este año voy a dibujar muchísimo y a mejorar. Estoy muy a gusto con el resultado final, no estoy seguro de que se parezca mucho a la referencia, sin embargo el dibujo como tal me quedó muy bien, sobre todo el cabello que me costó muchísimo hacerlo.
