That big, round eyes! Owls in watercolor

Two pairs of eyes are watching you through the autumn foliage. They are forest owls who go to populated areas at the beginning of winter and settle on the trees because they can find more food.
They hit the little mice easily and silently. The quills on their heads are not their ears, they are much lower and asymmetrically positioned to facilitate stereo hearing.
So much for them in a nutshell, I love them anyway!

I painted the watercolor you see below yesterday and strived for looseness, lightness.

Almost all of the picture got a faint sun-yellow base, and in some places, a little blue in spots, because the sky emerges here and there.

I painted the yellow and brown spots on the foliage layer by layer, rewetting the paper with a water spray.

In the case of owls, I focused mainly on texture

The eyes of the owls are the most pronounced, so I worked out these most thoroughly.
