The portrait is about the great Bob Ross, that painter who helped many people to get closer to the world of art, was a kind of Carl Sagan, who spread scientific knowledge, Mr. Bob Ross shared his passion for painting with many people Many years ago I learned by watching his tutorials and the patient way in which he explained. I think he is one of those people who deserve special recognition, for helping many people to discover their love for painting. Without further ado I leave you with the step by step.
Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien y que la estén pasando de maravilla, hoy quiero mostrarles un pequeño retrato que hice en papel moneda, de antiguos billetes de mi país, aunque no son tan antiguos sino que se devaluaron muy rápido. El retrato se trata del gran Bob Ross, aquél pintor que ayudó a muchas personas a que pudieran acercarse al mundo del arte, fue una suerte de Carl Sagan, quien divulgaba conocimientos científicos, el señor Bob Ross compartía su pasión por la pintura con muchas personas, hace muchos años aprendía viendo sus tutoriales y la manera tan paciente en que explicaba. Creo que es de esas personas que merecen un reconocimiento especial, por ayudar a muchas personas a conocer el amor por la pintura. Sin más que decir los dejo con el paso a paso.

I started by sketching the face, paper money is very difficult to outline because it is a porous surface, so you have to sharpen the pencils very well so that the lines are well marked. Here I used the original drawing, which is about an independence hero, as a guide for Bob Ross's face with its obvious modifications.
Comencé haciendo el boceto del rostro, el papel moneda es muy dificil de delinear porque es una superficie porosa, entonces hay que afilar muy bien los lápices para que las lineas queden bien marcadas. Aquí utilicé el dibujo original, que se trata de un heroe de independecia, como guía para el rostro de Bob Ross con sus obvias modificaciones.

After having the portrait outlined in pencil I began to paint with a simple paint base, in this case I mixed the titanic white color with an earth color of shadow, to make a skin color but as a base, from here I will only add others shades until you find the most appropriate one that works for expression lines. From this I also begin to outline the hair and beard with paint, Bob Ross used to use afro-style hair and his red beard.
Después de tener el retrato delineado con lápiz comencé a pintar con una simple base de pintura, en este caso mezclé el color blanco titáneo con un color tierra de sombra, para hacer un color de piel pero como base, a partir de aquí solo agregaré otros tonos hasta encontrar el más indicado y que sirva para las líneas de expresión. A partir de esto también comienzo a delinear con pintura el cabello y la barba, Bob Ross solía utilizar el cabello estilo afro y su barba pelirroja.

Unlike the previous step, here I begin to use the brush strokes to give volume to the hair in contrast to the face, in the same way I do with the beard. With a range of warm colors from terracotta, light brown and ocher yellow, each and every one mixed with white to get various tones, this to be able to do well with volume and reflections. Towards the center of the hair I darken with a mixture of dark colors but without using the black color directly!
A diferencia del paso anterior aquí comienzo a utilizar las pinceladas para darle volumen al cabello en contraste con el rostro, de la misma forma hago con la barba. Con una gama de colores cálidos desde terracota, cafe claro y amarillo ocre, todos y cada uno mezclados con color blanco para sacar varios tonos, esto para poder hacer bien el volumen y los reflejos. Hacia el centro del cabello voy oscureciendo con mezcla de colores oscuros pero sin utilizar el color negro directamente!

En el siguiente paso comienzo a aclarar los bordes del cabello y en contraste el interior del cabello lo voy oscureciendo un poco más. Cada persona tiene algo llamativo, en muchas personas es el color de piel, en otros el color de ojos, en Bob Ross su inconfundible cabello, así que trato de darle bastante realismo.

Now I focus on the face, first making the eyes with a combination of dark colors, in the same way and lightening the paint a little, I begin to make the lines of expression, and in those parts where there are light reflections I paint with white. I do details on both the hair and the beard, especially lightening the hair and I do it with brush strokes, quickly. To finish I give a last layer of blue for the shirt so that it can stand out inside the paper. In this way the portrait of Bob Ross has been completed.
Ahora me enfoco en el rostro haciendo primero los ojos con una combinación de colores oscuros, de la misma forma y aclarando un poco la pintura comienzo hacer las líneas de expresión, y en aquellas partes donde haya reflejos de luz voy pintando con color blanco. Hago detalles tanto en el cabello como en la barba, especialmente aclarando el cabello y lo hago con pisadas del pincel, de forma rápida. Para finalizar doy una última capa de color azúl para la camisa y así pueda resaltar dentro del papel. De esta manera ha quedado finalizado el retrato de Bob Ross.

Así quedo finalizado el retrato de Bob Ross, mientras lo iba haciendo snetía que el rostro iba para otra parte, y es que el papel moneda al estar rayado con la impresión tienen, el dibujo es dificil de descifrar, así que pensé que estaba cometiendo un error, sin embargo, como decía en sus videos Bob Ross: "No hay errores, solo accidentes felices", parece algo tonto pero tiene razón, a pesar de que el error pueda ser doloroso si lo superamos habremos aprendido algo. Esto ha sido todo por el día de hoy, no soy tan bueno como él en los tutoriales, pero lo hice con mucho gusto, me despido hasta otra oportunidad!..
