ICE PIXIE

Hello good morning friends! I'm here again to tell you about the process of this illustration that I made for the @splinterlands contest, to tell you that this time I chose the water Splinter card called: "ICE PIXIE" looking annoyed on the card but I wanted to do it with a serious face, for the time they have been frozen and these beings are somewhat mischievous.

AND THE PROCESS BEGINS:

1.jpg

Hello friends, as in all my drawing processes, I start with a slightly rustic sketch in the lines. I do this to have an idea of what I want to do and the size of everything I will do. I wanted to make her in a serious but intimidating posture with a power that came out of her hand, since the pixie would be somewhat annoyed.

Secondly, with the Lasso Tool I outlined the face, neck, arm, ear and hand and then filled with the Paint Bucket all the skin with a gray hue since the character has light skin because it is made of ice, then I made the shading of some places with a more saturated gray and the lights of the skin clarifying the gray more I always used an Airbrush Brush for this, the nose and mouth I did with the same brush and tones changing its size and opacity to mix the colors. In the eyes I used the same brush but with a blue color since that is how the character has them, then I made a Gaussian Blur to make them shine. And so I did the hair, eyelashes and eyebrows with the Hair Brush changing its size and using the white hue to achieve what you see in the image, after that I made the clothing with a blue color as a base and also making the lights and shadows with the Airbrush Brush and I made the flame with the same brush. I painted the necklace with yellow and saturated in some places and lightened it to then make a Blur and thus resemble gold.

In this part I made the wings for the pixie, in a layer with the white hue I painted the wings then I lowered the opacity to make them transparent, I also made some fine lines inside wanting them to resemble a snowflake, also some reflections to give it more life.

Finally my friends, I made the background by making a gradient from black to a light gray, then with a Blob Brush I made what would be the falling snow with the Airbrush Brush I made the snowflakes I lowered the opacity to make them transparent I wanted to do it like this since the character is Ice.

Well that was the final result, sorry if it was a little rough but I did it in a short time. I hope to have a chance this time in the contest.
