Hello, Sketchbook family! 👋✍️
I’m excited to share my latest digital illustration with you all. I designed this piece in Adobe Illustrator, and it is a portrait of my friend, Yanira. 🖌️💜
For this one, I focused heavily on playing with layers of strokes to build up texture, combined with a vibrant color palette and soft shadows. To get the right mood, I played around with color opacity a lot, adjusting the transparency until the light and shadows felt just right. The result? A clean vector look with a soft, painted feel. 🤯
The best part? Yanira loved it! Seeing her smile made all those hours of tweaking anchor points totally worth it. 🥹👉👈
Let me know what you think about the strokes and the color transitions! I’m still mastering the balance between Illustrator’s precision and a more organic feel.

Estoy muy emocionado/a de compartir con ustedes mi última ilustración digital. Diseñé esta pieza en Adobe Illustrator, y es un retrato de mi amiga Yanira. 🖌️💜
Para este trabajo, me enfoqué mucho en jugar con capas de trazos para construir textura, combinado con una paleta de colores vibrante y sombras suaves. Para lograr el ambiente adecuado, jugué mucho con la opacidad del color, ajustando la transparencia hasta que la luz y las sombras se sintieran justas. ¿El resultado? Un aspecto vectorial limpio pero con una sensación suave y pintada. 🤯
¿Lo mejor? ¡A Yanira le encantó! Ver su sonrisa hizo que todas esas horas ajustando puntos de anclaje valieran totalmente la pena. 🥹👉👈
Déjenme saber qué opinan sobre los trazos y las transiciones de color. ¡Todavía estoy perfeccionando el equilibrio entre la precisión de Illustrator y un estilo más orgánico!
Muy bien utilizado este estilo de diseño, por supuesto que debe haberle gustado mucho.
