"The Lovers VI Tarot Card, Major Arcana"
I created this cut paper art and digitally colored it. This is the tarot card, Major Arcana called "THE LOVERS VI ." Usually, there are two people or three people on THE LOVERS tarot card. Also, there is a goddess or an angel above the humans. Furthermore, there are fruit trees and a snake that slithers up one of the trees. However, I created male and female cranes who are doing a mating dance beautifully. The left one is a female and the other one is a male. Yes, they are lovers and exchanging their beautiful love. This beautiful love (the stuff between their mouths) is not exactly describing a snake but the shape looks like a snake shape. The moon behind them is shining like the original picture background.
I love Japanese Red-crowned cranes. They are very beautiful. Japanese Indigenous Ainu called them Sarorun Kamuy in the Ainu language which means the gods of the marshes. Yes, they look like gods. When they fly in the sky, you might be lost for words because they are too beautiful. As soon as I started to make tarot cards, I decided to use this red-crowned cranes' artwork.

According to A.E. Waite's 1910 book Pictorial Key to the Tarot, the Lovers card carries several divinatory associations.
"恋人 六 タロットカード、大アルカナ”
切り絵を作成しデジタルで色をつけました。これはタロットカード大アルカナの’六番 恋人”のカードです。大抵恋人のタロットカードにはふたりもしくは３人の人が描かれています。そしてその人たちの上には女神か天使が描かれています。さらに果物の木が描かれ、その一本の木には蛇が巻きついています。一方わたしの タロットカードには鶴のつがいの交配の美しい踊りの姿が描かれています。左がメスで右がオスの鶴です。鶴の恋人は美しい愛を交換しています。この愛（くちばしの間にあるもの）は蛇を象徴したわけではないのですが、蛇の形にも見てとれます。後で輝く月は本来のタロットカードの背景と似ています。
わたしは日本の丹頂鶴が大好きです。とても美しい鳥です。先住民のアイヌの方たちは丹頂鶴をサルルンカムイ（湿原の神）と呼びます。本当にその名の通り神様です。丹頂鶴が空を飛ぶ姿はあまりにもきれいで言葉を失います。タロットカードのアートを作り始めた時、この丹頂鶴の切り絵を恋人のカードに使いたいと思いました。
カードの意味と解釈
正位置の意味
誘惑と戦う、自分への信頼、価値観の確立、情熱、共感、選択、絆、深い結びつき、結婚、継続。
逆位置の意味
誘惑、不道徳、失恋、空回り、無視、集中力欠如、空虚、結婚生活の破綻、無干渉。
アーサー・エドワード・ウェイトのタロット図解における解説では「魅力・愛・美」を意味するとされる。
