We all have a great fascination for an artist, seeing her career and successes and even collaborations over time. In my case it's Cyndi Lauper, her songs, her style, the connection with her fans, it's a lot, since I was a little girl her songs had an impact on me and over time they became anthems.
Una de las cosas que más me emociona es verla siendo parte de mi serie de televisión favorita Bones interpretando el personaje de Avalon Harmonia siendo esta una vidente. Realmente en la serie hay muchos detalles de Cyndi y es tan bueno, uno de ellos es su aparición como lo mencioné y otro detalle genial es que la canción Girls Just Want to Have Fun es cantada en un karaoke por el personaje principal alegando que desde niña solía cantarla y que lo hacía mejor que la artista, un buen episodio.
One of the things that excites me the most is to see her being part of my favorite TV series Bones playing the character of Avalon Harmonia being a psychic. Really in the series there are many details of Cyndi and it is so good, one of them is her appearance as I mentioned and another cool detail is that the song Girls Just Want to Have Fun is sung in a karaoke by the main character claiming that since she was a child she used to sing it and she did it better than the artist, a good episode.
Las letras de sus canciones pueden llevarte directo a la euforia pero también invitan a la nostalgia y te hacen abrazar la empatía. Es por ello que al crecer y entender mejor se convirtieron en himnos para mí.
The lyrics of their songs can take you straight to euphoria but they also invite nostalgia and make you embrace empathy. That's why as I grew older and understood them better they became anthems for me.
Es por ello que me animé en hacer esta ilustración con este estilo tan llamativo el cual vemos para las fotos de su álbum de 1994 Twelve Deadly Cyns... and Then Some donde se recopilaban sus más grandes éxitos. Su estilo siempre ha sido extravagante, lo que la hace única incluso hasta el día de hoy.
That's why I decided to do this illustration with this striking style which we see for the photos of her 1994 album Twelve Deadly Cyns... and Then Some where her greatest hits were compiled. Her style has always been extravagant, which makes her unique even to this day.
