Greetings my dear friends readers and art lovers, this time I present to you the greatest scientist of the entire Navy in the One Piece universe, the famous researcher Dr. Vegapunk in his pixelated version!
Saludos mis queridos amigos lectores y amantes del arte, en esta oportunidad les presento al mayor científico de toda la Marina en el universo de One Piece, al famoso investigador Dr. Vegapunk en su versión pixelada!
Pixel art is really interesting and although it doesn't have much to do with my drawing style I can say that I've felt quite comfortable recreating some of my favorite characters from the best anime and manga of all times (according to me lol) One Piece. The thing is that the process is quite relaxing and although there are few pixels to work on the experience of simplifying all of them is very fun and rewarding, even more when you add some animation!
Realmente el pixel art es sumamente interesante y aunque no tiene mucho que ver con mi estilo de dibujo puedo decir que me he sentido bastante cómoda al recrear algunos de mis personajes favoritos del mejor anime y manga de todos los tiempos (según yo lol) One Piece. El caso es que el proceso es bastante relajante y aunque son pocos los pixeles en los que se puede trabajar la experiencia de simplificar todos es muy divertida y gratificante, aun mas cuando se le agrega alguna animación!
In this case, Doctor Vegapunk is not especially one of my favorites, but it caught my attention to know that his appearance was revealed very recently in the manga and I thought it was interesting to try a little of this new art (enjoyable for me) with a character so important in the development of the plot of this great story.
En este caso el Doctor Vegapunk no es en especial de mis favoritos, pero llamo mi atención saber que se revelo hace muy poco tiempo su apariencia en el manga y me pareció interesante probar un poco de este nuevo arte (amenos para mi) con un personaje tan importante en el desarrollo de la trama de esta gran historia.
As far as we know, Vegapunk ate the Nomi Nomi devil fruit, which allows him to store infinite information in his brain, but as it grew too big, he cut it off and connected it to an apple-shaped antenna on the top of his head.
Según se logra saber Vegapunk comió la fruta del diablo Nomi Nomi y esta le permite almacenar información infinita en su cerebro, pero como creció demasiado se la corto y se lo conectó con una antena en forma de manzana en la parte de arriba de su cabeza.
The presentation of this character is recent and as he is not yet in the anime, I don't know what his form or movements are but because of his long tongue and apple-shaped antenna I thought it would be interesting to make a pendulum-like movement with his tongue and for his head going up and down looking for connection, his eyes moving from one side to the other looking for information to store in his massive brain.
La presentación de este personaje es reciente y como aun no sale en el anime, no sé cuál es su forma o movimientos pero por su larga lengua y antena en forma de manzana creí interesante hacerle un movimiento en forma de péndulo con la lengua y para la cabeza subiendo y bajando buscando conexión, sus ojos moviéndose de un lado a otro buscando información para almacenar en su masivo cerebro.
The process was very nice although not very fast because of my problem to simplify features, but it still felt fun and colorful. This time I worked in a size of 32 by 32 pixels, and to avoid going up and down the size I decided to capture the process while doing the design and after finishing it to a size of 512 by 512 but keeping the pixel shape that I had raised in principle, Finally the animation was raised in 4 frames and I put his name in a green toxic with what I think is a Neon flashing light. As always I leave the images of the process so that you can appreciate them with more detail.
El proceso fue muy agradable aunque no muy rápido por lo que les comentaba de mi problema para simplificar rasgos, pero aun así se sintió divertido y colorido. Esta vez trabaje en un tamaño de 32 por 32 Pixeles, y para no subir y baja el tamaño decidí tomar captura del proceso mientras hacia el diseño y luego de terminarlo pasarlo a un tamaño de 512 por 512 pero manteniendo la forma de pixel que había planteado en principio, Finalmente la animación fue planteada en 4 fotogramas y coloque su nombre en un toxico verde con lo que según yo es un Neon alumbrando de forma intermitente. Como siempre dejo las imágenes del proceso para que las aprecien con más detalle.
