Hello to all the dear community of Hive.blog, after a little vacation I resume the activity on the blog, I disappeared for a week, but still attentive to the publications that are made on the platform. For today I want to share with you a design I made of Bruce Wayne from the recent movie "The Batman", starring the excellent actor Robert Pattinson, this movie is a new reboot of this iconic DC character, I have read that this movie has very good reviews, it has a darker and more gloomy essence to the previous ones, developing a Batman more faithful to the comics, I am anxious to see it, while the day comes to go to the movies, I hope not to spoil the plot haha.
Next I show you the step by step of the development of the illustration, I hope you like it.
Hola a toda la querida comunidad de Hive.blog, después de unas pequeñas vacaciones retomo la actividad en el blog, me desaparecí por una semana, pero igual atento de las publicaciones que se realizan en la plataforma. Para el día de hoy quiero compartirles un diseño que realice de Bruce Wayne de la reciente de película de “The Batman”, protagonizada por el excelente actor Robert Pattinson, en esta película se realiza un nuevo reinicio de este personaje tan icónico de DC, esta película he leído que tiene muy buenas críticas, tiene una esencia más lúgubre y oscura a las anteriores, desarrollando a un Batman más fiel a los comics, estoy ansioso por verla, mientras se llega el día de ir al cine, espero no spoilearme su trama jaja.
A continuación les muestro el paso a paso del desarrollo de la ilustración, espero sea de su agrado.
Drawing development / Desarrollo ✏️
Taking as reference the photo that was presented, I made a somewhat animated adaptation of Robert, following the style of drawing that I have been developing, here I wanted to give a somewhat gloomy and somber aspect to the character, trying to capture the essence shown in the film. The drawing consists of four main sections, which were: body, clothing, hair and background, each of them consists of different layers, between textures and shades to reach the desired result, plus extra layers of different brightness.
Tomando como referencia la foto que se presentó, realice una adaptación un tanto animada de Robert, siguiendo el estilo de dibujo que he venido desarrollando, acá quise darle un aspecto un tanto lúgubre y sombrío al personaje, tratando de captar la esencia que se muestra en la película. El dibujo consta de cuatro secciones principales, las cuales fueron: cuerpo, vestimenta, cabello y fondo, cada una de ellas consta de diferentes capas, entre texturas y matices hasta llegar al resultado deseado, además de capas extras de diferentes brillos.
With quick and simple strokes we make a basic sketch of Robert, then we opacify this layer and in another one we begin to place the base colors, using desaturated tones.
Con trazos rápidos y sencillos realizamos un boceto básico de Robert, seguidamente opacamos esta capa y en otra empezamos a colocar los colores base, usando tonalidades desaturadas.

Later we started to give different shades to the skin, detailing a little more the facial features, such as eyes, nose and mouth, I also try to design the hair, giving it a disheveled look.
Posteriormente empezamos a darle diferentes tonalidades a la piel, detallando un poco más las facciones del rostro, como ojos, nariz y boca, también trato de diseñar el cabello, dándole un aspecto desaliñado al mismo.

It was relatively complicated to make Robert's hair, I could not get the result I wanted, in the end I had to practice different ways to draw it, until I liked this design, I gave volume and different shades to it to make it look more natural. In this step I also concentrated on developing the clothing, adding different textures to it.
Me fue relativamente complicado realizar el cabello de Robert, no lograba obtener el resultado que deseaba, al final tuve que practicar diferentes formas de dibujarlo, hasta que este diseño me gusto, le di volumen y diferentes tonalidades al mismo para que se viera más natural. En este paso también me concentre en desarrollar la vestimenta, colocándole diferentes texturas.

Once we obtained our base drawing with the different tonalities, shadows and light areas, we started to give it the final effects and touches, I put black paint on the eyes to give that gloomy look, we used different layers in blend mode to add and overexposure to illuminate certain parts. Finally we drew the emblem of Batman, accompanied by a light rain blurred in the background.
Una vez obtenido nuestro dibujo base con las diferentes tonalidades, sombras y zonas claras, pasó a darle los efectos y retoques finales, le coloque machas negras de pintura en los ojos para dar ese aspecto lúgubre, usamos diferentes capas en modo mezcla añadir y sobre exposición para iluminar ciertas partes. Finalmente dibujamos el emblema de Batman, acompañado de una leve lluvia difuminada al fondo.
