Hoy quiero continuar con mis personajes favoritos de la mitología griega. Esta vez con la pintura de Medusa.

Medusa fue una hermosa doncella, que causaba diversos sentimientos en todos sus pretendientes, siendo el más común poseerla. Estos pensamientos no escaparon incluso de Poseidón quien la violó sin titubear de sus deseos carnales en el mismísimo templo de Atenea. Provocando así la ira de la diosa de la guerra, quien arremetió enfurecida contra Medusa transformándola en un monstruo y despojándola de su hermosa cabellera para sustituirla por serpientes que brotaban de su cabeza, como castigo por aquel acto dentro su templo sagrado, que tenía como fin consagrar el culto religioso y darle ofrendas a los dioses.

Medusa was a beautiful maiden, who caused various feelings in all her suitors, the most common being to possess her. These thoughts did not escape even from Poseidon who raped her without hesitation of his carnal desires in the temple of Athena itself. Thus provoking the wrath of the goddess of war, who lunged at Medusa, transforming her into a monster and stripping her of her beautiful hair to replace it with snakes that sprouted from her head, as punishment for that act inside her sacred temple, which was intended to consecrate religious worship and give offerings to the gods.
