Hello my dears
Here we are again in this world of colors, filling the soul with watercolors.
Hoy sentí mucha nostalgia de mi hermana mayor, ella ha sido fundamental en mi vida, pero desde hace mucho tiempo está viviendo en México, así que la extraño, sin embargo, ella ama a los colibríes, y así como a mi me identifican con las mariposas, a ella la recuerdo cuando veo un colibrí.
Entonces, decidí hacer un colibrí en acuarelas en su honor, estas aves son muy hermosas, frágiles pero a la vez tan llenas de vida, es increíble como pueden tener un cuerpo tan perfecto que les permite volar de la forma tan rápida en qué lo hacen.
Today I felt very nostalgic for my older sister, she has been fundamental in my life, but she has been living in Mexico for a long time, so I miss her, however, she loves hummingbirds, and just as I identify with butterflies, I remember her when I see a hummingbird.
So, I decided to make a watercolor hummingbird in her honor, these birds are very beautiful, fragile but at the same time so full of life, it's amazing how they can have such a perfect body that allows them to fly so fast.
Así que tomé mis materiales y me puse manos a la obra y este fue el resultado:
So I grabbed my materials and got to work and this was the result:

Para realizar esta pintura usé acuarelas, un pincel punta fina, un lápiz, una hoja blanca, agua y un pañito.
To make this painting I used watercolors, a fine tip brush, a pencil, a white sheet of paper, water and a tissue.
Comencé dibujando el colibrí en la hoja blanca haciendo la silueta con un lápiz.
I began by drawing the hummingbird on the white sheet by making the silhouette with a pencil.
Luego comencé a aplicar los colores, comencé por el azul, usando varias capas, desde la más clara hasta darle los bordes más oscuros.
Then I began to apply the colors, starting with the blue, using several layers, from the lightest to the darkest edges.
Luego le dí color a las alas, usando el rosado, el marrón y el verde, para la cola usé el azul, luego le dí pequeños trazos finos para dar una sensación de movimiento.
Then I gave color to the wings, using pink, brown and green, for the tail I used blue, then gave small thin strokes to give a sense of movement.
El pecho y el cuerpo lo pinté de color naranja y amarillo, también comenzando siempre desde lo más claro hasta dar los toques más oscuros de los contornos.
I painted the chest and body in orange and yellow, also starting always from the lightest to the darkest touches of the contours.
El pico lo hice con un fino trazo negro, con el pincel casi seco porque quería que saliera muy oscuro, luego con el mismo negro pinté el ojo e hice algunos trazos en el resto del cuerpo del colibrí.
The beak I did with a thin black stroke, with the brush almost dry because I wanted it to be very dark, then with the same black I painted the eye and made some strokes in the rest of the body of the hummingbird.
Terminé pintando unas flores fucsias, con algunas ramitas con hojas verdes.
I ended up painting some fuchsia flowers, with some twigs with green leaves.
Al terminar mi colibrí quedó de esta manera:

Luego como siempre digitalicé mi pintura y estos fueron los dos resultados que más me han gustado junto a la primera imagen que mostré.
Then as always I digitized my painting and these were the two results that I liked the most together with the first image I showed.
La pintura, en cualquiera de sus modalidades siempre nos va a permitir explorar nuestra creatividad, Expresar lo que sentimos, y plasmar esos sentimientos del alma de forma muy especial.
Painting, in any of its modalities, will always allow us to explore our creativity, to express what we feel, and to capture those feelings of the soul in a very special way
