For today a market from last year in the city of Basel, located in the northwest of Switzerland along the Rhine river not far from the borders to France and Germany.
The Basel autumn market has a 549 year old tradition and continues to enjoy great popularity.
The city is being transformed into an amusement park with around 500 stands and trains, breathtaking promenades, traditional exhibition stands and nostalgic attractions.
Even in the past, international market people were essential for the Basel market. They brought textiles and spices to Basel.

I want to go there! It sounds like a wonderful time for all! Do you go to this every year?? I loved the Turkish lamps and have been tempted to at least look at one to buy. They are so very expensive, I cannot get myself to spend the money, but perhaps, someday!
The Buddhas, the bowls, and other international wares are something that I would be looking forward to. You saved the best for last!!! Did you see the size of that salmon???? Yes, please!!!
