La palabra cuarentena, en medicina, es un término utilizado para describir el aislamiento de personas o animales durante un tiempo no especifico como método para evitar o eliminar el riesgo de contagio de una enfermedad.

Actualmente el mundo entero se encuentra en una cuarentena que nos ha llevado a aislarnos en nuestros hogares debido a la terrible pandemia del covid-19. Por esta razón nos vemos obligados en tener más tiempo para compartir con nuestra familia y terminar cosas que teníamos pendiente y no habíamos terminado por falta de tiempo.

Mi Historia y el coronavirus
Vivo en la ciudad de Caracas, en la parroquia Caricuao, un sector que se encuentra bastante alejado del centro de la ciudad. En este sector los cuerpos policiales han decidido cerrar los accesos, bloqueando entradas y salidas del municipio, y solo se permite el paso a vehículos de uso oficial y trabajadores debidamente identificados, de los sectores esenciales, como lo son: Salud, seguridad, alimentación, transporte y comunicación. Estas personas que tienen autorización para el libre tránsito, deben utilizar siempre su mascarilla. El mercado popular y las farmacias de la zona pueden laborar hasta las 13:00 hrs, luego de esta hora, la policía procede a solicitar el cierre de los establecimientos y supervisa que las personas que han salido a comprar comida y medicinas, regresen nuevamente a sus hogares.
Soy administradora, locutora y productora audiovisual, y meses antes de que comenzará toda esta situación de la cuarentena, me estaba desempeñando trabajos audiovisuales desde casa, de manera freelance, así que a nivel de trabajo no ha sido tan fuerte el impacto.
My Story and the coronavirus
I live in the city of Caracas, in the Caricuao parish, a sector that is quite far from the city center. In this sector, the police forces have decided to close the entrances, blocking entrances and exits from the municipality, and only vehicles for official use and duly identified workers are allowed to pass through the essential sectors, such as: Health, safety, food, transportation and communication. These people who have authorization for free transit must always use their mask. The popular market and pharmacies in the area can work until 1:00 p.m., after this time, the police proceed to request the closure of the establishments and supervise that people who have gone out to buy food and medicine, return to their homes.
I am an administrator, broadcaster and audiovisual producer, and months before this whole quarantine situation began, I was working audiovisual work from home, freelance, so at work level the impact has not been so strong.
La pandemia y mis seres queridos
Gracias a Dios, ningún miembro de mi familia se encuentra contagiado por el covid-19, pero lamentablemente mi mejor amiga y su hija, que es mi ahijada, viven actualmente en Italia y se encuentran infectadas, están cumpliendo aislamiento total, en una casa donde solo conviven con una enfermera encargada de cuidarlas, ya que los hospitales están colapsados, ya no hay personal médico para atender todos los pacientes y por considerar que ella no son enfermas crónicas las enviaron a cumplir cuarentena en casa. Para proteger al resto de la familia, decidieron rentar una casa aparte donde están cumpliendo el aislamiento.
The pandemic and my loved ones
Thank God, no member of my family is infected with covid-19, but unfortunately my best friend and her daughter, who is my goddaughter, currently live in Italy and are infected, they are serving total isolation, in a house where they only live with a nurse in charge of taking care of them, since the hospitals are collapsed, there are no longer any medical personnel to attend to all the patients and, considering that she is not chronically ill, they were sent to quarantine at home. To protect the rest of the family, they decided to rent a separate house where they are serving the isolation.

Esta cuarentena la he aprovechado para hacer cosas nuevas que siempre quise hacer pero por razones del factor tiempo, no había hecho entre estas cosas están:

My activities in quarantine
I have taken advantage of this quarantine to do new things that I always wanted to do but for reasons of the time factor, I had not done these things:
My sister is a fan of makeup tutorials, and has always put on makeup herself, to practice, but she had never painted someone else, so I served as a model.

Mis padres son muy buenos cocineros, pero yo no me la llevo bien con la cocina, sin embargo esta cuarentena a me ha motivado a hacer una que otra cosita sencilla, a ver que tal me sale.
My parents are very good cooks, but I do not get along with cooking, however this quarantine has motivated me to do a few simple things, to see how it works out for me.
