I have had this talk with quite a few people who think traditional marriage is a waste of time and resources. I can't overemphasize the need for traditional marriage as an African. It is important to me that my family heads let my husband know if I am not treated fairly in his house, they reserve the right to take their child back without any consequences. I am an African and as much as I love learning about other cultures, I must respect mine also.
