Hello everyone, today I am here to share with you a memorable charity trip of mine
The charity club that I join is called Chung Mot Uoc Mo
. Our dream is to help those in need and give young people the most memorable experience of their youth. Most of the club's members are college students, who all have one thing in common: youth and a desire to help others 😊
Below are pictures from the Winter Warmth
charity trip in the winter of 2020, a memorable trip of mine.
#1 - Where we went to
The places we often choose to go to charity are in remote areas, which are rarely known to the public. There, people's life is very difficult. This time we chose to go to Noc Lang Pok - Tra Mai commune - Nam Tra My district - Quang Nam province.
Here, people are really difficult, where they live there is no electricity, no internet, all activities take place during the day. Children have to walk to school on a nearly 10km long hilly road every day and many of them have to go barefoot to go to school. People here have a difficult life but they are very kind and honest.
#2 - Our Purpose
Have you ever wondered "What is volunteering?". To us, Volunteering is very simply understood as doing good deeds out of our love and warm hearts, and there are many ways we can help others. Like me and other members of the club, we are not rich, but we can still bring joy and happiness to those who are more difficult than us by practical actions. We give away what we have is time and effort.
Our club has handed out 54 gifts to the villagers and 17 to children on behalf of the kind sponsors. Although they are gifts of no great value, they are all practical things. They are warm winter coats, school bags, boots for people to travel in the rainy season and daily labor tools. We were expecting people here to have a warm winter.
With the children, we bring food to cook porridge for them, looking at their happy eyes when they hold a bowl of porridge in their hands, I see that all my sacrifices and efforts are worth it.
#3 - Fundraising journey
You seem to be wondering if we don't have money, how can we do charity? Where is the money to buy these gifts, the answer is the kind sponsors. They are people with money, want to help others but don't have the time. And we are the ones who help them do that. We contacted and asked them to support part of the funding for charity programs.
In addition, my club also organizes fundraising activities by selling items such as food, handmade items made by students, selling candy at sidewalk restaurants,... Only paying from 10,000 - 15,000 VND for these items, buyers were able to contribute a small part to this charity program.
Usually, we will go ahead of the places where we plan to do charity to know the total number of households in the area and see what they need the most. And then we hold a fundraiser 1 month in advance of the charity event.
#4 - Journey to bring gifts to the villagers
For winter weather, which is also the rainy season, the road from Da Nang to Quang Nam is not easy. And to reach the remote villages in Tra Van was even more difficult because we had to go through winding, rainy and windy pass roads.
We have traveled more than 300km and after more than 6 hours of motorbike driving and more than 2 hours of hiking. Together through the dangerous muddy roads, we reached the point of Noc Lang Pok school. The gifts that bring warmth to these highland people have been given by us with all our hearts.
#5 - The things we got
I did charity and I gave gifts to the people here, but I also received a lot in return. The people here are very enthusiastic, they happily and warmly welcome us. The evening after we gave gifts was the most joyful and happy time. All of us including locals and club members lit a campfire and sat around each other to sing, confide and share interesting stories. We spent 1 night in the village and left the next morning.
In addition, doing charity is not simply an act of giving gifts, it is also a journey. For me, my charity trips are like backpacking. On the way I have passed, there are many beautiful scenes, there are majestic high mountains, rivers winding around the hills. And I was able to breathe fresh air without having to hear the noise like in the city. And at the location I went this time, because it was very high, I was able to hunt clouds in the early morning, it was really amazing.
Witnessing the scene of the villagers waiting very early to welcome our group, accompanied by the innocent and joyful eyes of the children when receiving gifts, all our coldness was dispelled.
I will try to do as many charity programs as possible in the near future. Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy this post.

So, is this near Da Nang? I think Da Nang is near the center of Vietnam. I was in the north and south of Viet Nam. I've not been to Da Nang but I was in some villages for Tet. I love Tet. I am sharing your post here. I love the photos. I love Vietnam. I find your charity trip interesting. It reminds me of some of the things I did in Vietnam. It reminds me of some of the people I met in Vietnam.
Thank you for loving Vietnam, there are many interesting things in my country and I will share with you in the next articles.
Awesome.
