Explore and Documenting Lemang Production at My City in the Pandemi Period

Dear Hivers Friends

The activities of a number of Micro Enterprises in my city are still struggling to get out of their uncomfortable zone due to this prolonged pandemic. One of the businesses I visited was the traditional Acehnese cake making business; Lemang.

Lemang is known as one of the specialties of the Malay region, not only in Indonesia, Lemang is also known in Malaysia and Singapore as well as Brunei Darussalam.

In Aceh province, Lemang is well known as a popular snack in the month of Ramadan, so one of the Lemang cake-making businesses in the city of Lhokseumawe also produces Lemang every day, of course, the level of production is different when compared to the month of Ramadan.

Lemang is sticky rice cake that is baked in a bamboo container, eaten using jam that has been specially prepared. The taste is quite uplifting. Here are some photos that I got at my Lemang business.
