Killing Someone Legally

Divorce: the legal process of obliterating someone and pretending there never was a connection to said person. A legal way of saying "you're dead to me" without the hassle of actually removing the life from someone. Divorce is death, and just as valid a way to break off the contract of marriage.

Marriage: a foolish contract, the upholding of which is determined primarily by the feelings of the parties involved. The only legally binding contract dependent on subjective spoken terms, sometimes written down, but no less vague. Love isn't a feeling primarily, but since our culture defines it that way, the vow to love is pointless. Feelings change. Action is objectively measurable. Feeling doesn't dictate whether you are loving or being loved. But what actions define love? Perhaps it's easier to define hateful actions: affairs, abandonments, abuses, lies, malice, envy, strife making, insults, violence. All of these violate the contract to love. All of these acts committed unrepentantly warrant divorce.
