See The World #29 - Geamăna (The sunken village and the toxic lake from Transylvania)

During this period when everything seems like breaking apart we forget an important aspect - that nothing from what we are forced to face nowadays can be compared to how some people lived in the past decades seeing their death every day.

All we have to do is to stay in the house just to protect ourselves but the others too, while for the very few locals left in the sunken village from Transylvania called Geamăna, not even the little house represents a safety anymore, due to the level of the toxic lake that is being increased every single day, as well as the toxic air they have to fight with.

It's a period when we all get back in time when there was nothing bad going on but we still didn't know how to appreciate it and take advantage of the daily short walks outside of the house, as well as the nights spent on a pub drinking a tea or just going outside without needing to justify ourselves in front of the cops if they stop us, asking why we are living the house.

So what about focusing more on what we have instead of what we want?
What about appreciating more the moments we live today, because the day of tomorrow might never come?
What about forgetting about the bad moments we think they are bad, while there are some people who wish to have the life we have?
What about focusing more to the real problems, instead of the minor ones?

Let's forget about this moment, it's a pandemic that sooner or later it will be over, while for the locals of Geamăna the nightmare they live will never end. And they still smile more often than us and learned how to embrace the pain and the cruel moments of life just for a little bit more time before everything comes to an end.

Great video little sister to accompany the epic blog post from last week! It's good to hear your voice here too and everything is really well edited - your skills are leveling up and inspiring me to start using 3Speak too 😃

Is it a GoPro you use for the filming?

Thanks! Haha, I actually hate my voice! It makes me feel like it sounds so weird, lol! But thanks for the encouraging words :D

You should definitely use 3Speak too! It's a great platform. And yes, I used GoPro Hero 7 for all my travels :)

Haha, I don't think anyone who hears their voice back likes it 😃 But in my experience you get used to it and get more confident so keep it up, practice makes perfect!

Ok, you've sold me! When things quieten down for me I'll look in to it, been manic here on the music production front! I will look in to Go Pro, I'll be interested to see if my mobile phone footage from last year is good enough for the travel content too
