The streets, shopping centers, restaurants and residences of this city were crowded a few days ago with a lot of noise and no one would want to believe the current state of the city. Because the current situation is completely different, the surroundings are just empty, no people are coming out without an urgent need. The Corona virus panic has greatly changed people's general habits. It seems that the corona virus has lost the entire world!
However, in urgent need to go to Motijheel of Dhaka today. But this image of the non-public Motijheel is very inconsistent. Because we know the amount of people crowded in Motijheel. I asked the rickshaw driver, why you are not going to the village house? Everyone is leaving Dhaka. The driver of the rickshaw said, what will we eat at home in the village? There is nothing in our village house! Honestly I am not surprised at his answer, because there are so many poor people in Dhaka city who have no other way of earning!
There are thousands of rickshaw drivers in Dhaka city who earn by driving rickshaw in the city, and with this income their family lives. Now that the city of Dhaka is going to lockdown. In that case all these people's income will also be closed. Maybe we have some money balance, by which we can keep going. But what will happen to the poor rickshaw drivers? I do not know if the wise people are thinking about them? Or does the government have any plans for them?
Although I agree with the government about lockdown. Because there is no alternative to lockdown to prevent the Corona virus at this stage. Long before the World Health Organization advised our Dhaka city to lockdown. But we have been positive in implementing it for too long. Since Dhaka is a populous city, the lockdown on Corona prevention needs to be implemented on an urgent basis for the benefit of all.
However, time will tell how effective we have been in this regard, how much we have been responsible for preventing the Corona virus. However, I hope that all of us in Dhaka city would be safe.
