I have been craving some vitamin sea since February but was just postponing it cos I wanted to finish some tasks first before I would go to a peaceful place. The moment I got ready to go out, the quarantine happened. So the chance to remove the stress was gone in a second.
As much as I want to whine, I have just been looking back at some photos of beaches that I took before. These photos were taken here in the Philippines.
Vanishing Island
This is the Vanishing Island in Samal. It's called vanishing island cos literally it vanishes during high tide lol. So yeah you might freak out if you're stuck in there even though there's a house. Just probably the thought of not having any land to see during high tide is just scary.
This island has some "sand bar" looking part. High tide was coming so this sand bar only lasted I think 15 minutes lol.
Was able to only take a few photos until that sand was covered in water. The small island is protected by the government so that's why it was so clean and only a few tourists come by.
This has lots of mangroves chillin around. I remember going to this place when I was 10. It was low tide and there was just too many weird shit around. You know those creepy creatures like sea cucumbers that look out of this world. It has big starfishes too and sea urchins lying around literally everywhere. We were there at that long boardwalk that you can see in that photo. I still swam though but was really careful not to touch any weird shit so I didn't really enjoy it lol.
Davao Gulf
This was taken in Davao Gulf when I went aboard a Navy ship with my father. I was a graduating student trying to get footages for my thesis work. They were having a sea trial and luckily the commander allowed me to be in there. :3
Island Garden City of Samal
Samal island is full of beautiful beaches and resorts. This was one of them.
This beach was beautiful but I didn't like its shore, it was too steep. I don't know what it's called but like one step and it's a lot inches deeper. Of course, for someone who doesn't know how to swim, I could easily drown since the current is also strong.
I mean, look at that! That was already too dangerous for me because one step and it's literally so deep, you can see how the sand suddenly vanishes. It would literally suck me into that deep part and I'd be dead in no time. :D
This was in between Davao City and Samal island.
Still in Samal island. We were going home from a beach resort and decided to stop by to see the view. That small island there is I think the most expensive resort in the region.
Ternate, Cavite
This was one of the memorable trips that I had. I was in Luzon so I decided to just interview some soldiers for my thesis work since I already got an opportunity to do so. I was escorted by two Navy soldiers to the Marine Corps training ground and it was so awesome! I saw them train in front of me and they treated me like a VIP lmao. I was too focused on my interview stuff so I wasn't able to take pics of the beach! The only photo that I took is that pic above. The other side of that is a beach where the Marines also train and it was so peaceful and beautiful. I really regret not taking any photos there. Anyway, here is the trailer of my thesis work, the reason why I got there.
These are just a few beaches in the Philippines and obviously, there are more beautiful ones in other parts of the country. We have thousands of islands to explore and I hope after this covid shit ends, I'm able to travel to other areas too! :3
IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES TALAGA! <3
Lol even until now, they still didn’t change that slogan xD
Why would they have to change it? I love that slogan! :D

If you love beaches in tropical country then the Philippines is the perfect place for you! :D
We share the love of the ocean as I also posted yesterday about our last trip to the sea before the lockdown.
Beautiful photos here my friend.
Take care!
Yeah I know Philippines has many beautiful beaches. Well because I'm from Philippines but this place is new to me. I haven't been in Davao maybe that's why.
My goodness! Imagine being on this island when the tide comes in and all the land disappears! I think it would be frightening! Lovely photos :-)
Haha true. Thank you! :D
Did you say vitamin sea?
Yes, PLEASE!
