Oh yes.. once news on lock down happens, the first thing everyone does is to stock up.
It's the same here as well in Vietnam but we've been at this for several weeks; after a while, we realised that provisions will always have so it's best to spend wisely as well.
I did my first grocery shopping in Co.Op Mart, very much similar to FairPrice in SG after being on self-quarantine for over 14 days. I made sure I wrote down what I needed and shop according to the list. Not wanting to stay on longer than I should. Though I did add on other stuffs as well. But, I quickly left once I saw the after-work crowd coming in.
Strange thing is people are buying toys, children's books and laptops and tablets.
