[ESP-ENG] Recorriendo las ruinas del casco histórico de Caracas // Touring the ruins of the historic center of Caracas

Caracas por donde quiera que la recorras siempre tiene sorpresas maravillosas, especialmente porque desde donde sea que te encuentres, por algún ladito se te asoma el majestuoso cerro El Ávila (Warairarepano), aunque uno no se detenga a apreciarlo. En esta oportunidad decidí, en medio de mi rutina, deleitarme con el casco histórico, por el que pasaba a diario en una carrera contra el tiempo para llegar o salir de mi trabajo.

Caracas, wherever you go, always has wonderful surprises, especially because from wherever you are, the majestic El Ávila (Warairarepano) hill peeks out from somewhere, even if you don't stop to appreciate it. On this occasion I decided, in the middle of my routine, to delight myself with the old town, through which I passed daily in a race against time to get to or from my job.

Decidí tomarme un buen café helado y saboreando la delicia del café venezolano caminé por los alrededores de la casa de Bolívar. Allí hay un proceso de reconstrucción del casco y pedí permiso para entrar a ver.

I decided to have a good iced coffee and, savoring the delight of Venezuelan coffee, I walked around Bolívar's house. There is a process of reconstruction of the helmet and I asked permission to enter to see.

Sorprendentemente descubrieron el cemento que tapaba paredes que datan de más o menos 300 años atrás. El solo verlas te traslada a la Venezuela de nuestros ancestros.

Surprisingly they discovered the cement that covered walls that date back more or less 300 years. Just seeing them takes you to the Venezuela of our ancestors.

En un punto llegas a unas catacumbas; solo el nombre me dio miedo y no hice más preguntas, solo registré el momento y por aquí se los muestro para que conozcan un pedacito de esta historia que yo conocí y que quiero compartirles.

Entiendo que esta reconstrucción que se está haciendo permitirá disfrutar de nuevos espacios de recreación y de cultura en los que se podrán apreciar las ruinas de ese casco en los años 1.700, aproximadamente. Quien tenga tiempo para disfrutarlo, hágalo. Se enamorarán cada día más de mi amada Caracas.
