Let's help a brother

50% of the profit from my post will be donated to @jauregui98, to help him in his fight against Covid-19.

Hello Hive family and Gamers friends from all over the world, how are you? I hope you are doing well and in excellent health. Today is a different and special post about a situation that has been distressing us since last year, today I will not talk about any video game as such, today we will talk about a special person who has been active in Hive for a long time and unfortunately has been a victim of the Covid-19 contagion.

This is dedicated to Hiver and Gamer Gabriel Jauregui, better known in Hive as @jauregui98, a person who did a lot for the community and also likes video games, he is human, he is not immune to diseases, sadly he was also affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Today he is in recovery, strength for him and his family.

This initiative serves to raise awareness about what we are doing wrong in this time of the pandemic. Are we not following the rules of care for Covid-19? Is the virus so powerful that it won't matter how much cleaning we do in our bodies? Will this ever end? Many questions and few answers.

When we hear the word COVID-19, we immediately think of a myriad of meanings and consequences, but in reality, it is a virus that is already deployed throughout the planet that affects mainly the respiratory tract of the person who contracts it, it is not a simple flu, although it has similar symptoms: sore throat, loss of smell and taste, fever, malaise, body aches and difficulty breathing.

For many people, just hearing the word "COVID-19" generates fear, uncertainty, anxiety, stress, and these conditions favor the development of the disease. Therefore, there is no need to fear, only to act to avoid contagion and, if already infected, to overcome it.

For other people, on the contrary, it is normal, they are already used to hearing the word "COVID-19" and it is already part of their daily life, we hear them say "we will all get it", "it is inevitable that we will be infected", "those who have other diseases will die because it gets complicated", "we have to die of something".

This type of people do not take care of themselves, do not protect themselves and generally do not comply with any sanitary measure and spend their time walking the streets and visiting different establishments without need.

My experience with this terrible pandemic is that I have seen how my neighbors, mainly teenagers, do not comply with the quarantine, staying at home for them is very difficult, they go to the sports field to practice sports, to ride bicycles, to play, without a mask, and if they have it, it is just an ornament hanging from their neck, I have also seen adults giving a very bad use to the mask.

In the face of this long pandemic, although we may think that it is trite, because information on the main preventive measures such as washing hands with soap, using a mask, keeping a social distance, we should make it a habit, a routine, that we do it unconsciously, like brushing our teeth, washing our face when we get up.

Prevention begins at home, we go out only if it is a real necessity and we try to do it once a week to buy food, those who go to work, do way have to go out from Monday to Friday, but complying with biosafety standards, which is already a habit for us, I confess that at the beginning it was hard, but we got the hang of it.

We wash our hands with soap, in my house there is soap everywhere, at every moment, every time we do something we wash our hands, we all have our utensils apart (plates, cutlery, glasses). My mom periodically makes our masks, we use them to go out, even if it is in front of the house. We have an antibacterial gel dispenser at the entrance of the house as well as a carpet for the few visitors to disinfect themselves when they enter.

We do inhalations of water with salt, add a little bit of eucalyptus, fennel, and ginger leaves, boil this water and when it boils, we do the inhalations for five (5) minutes in the morning after breakfast and at night before going to bed, usually after dinner.

Oh and very important, when we go out and return home, we change our clothes and the ones we take off we put in the sun, the same we do with our shoes. This is routine, we already do it automatically.

This is now our normal reality, we must become aware that COVID-19 is not a game, it is not the simple flu, we must take care of ourselves, and the most economical way to do it is with the prevention, "going out without a mask is like going out naked".

People who suffer from it should be aware that they should rest, even if they are asymptomatic, they should follow the medical treatment to the letter and comply with the quarantine. In addition to this, home remedies are not superfluous, drinking tea with lemon, infusions of malojillo, pennyroyal, among others, is very beneficial, taking them as hot as possible to help kill the virus.

No one knows for sure what will happen in the future with this pandemic constantly stalking us, we are human we can make mistakes or be careless, but if we work together to improve our prevention measures, we will not be infected, and the people who already experienced it will be the last.

For this initiative I made two videos and unified them, the video I uploaded to 3speak is about the prevention measures of Covid-19, to put a little context that video I made a year ago for a virtual class at school when I was still studying 5th grade, in that video I brought out my creativity as an editor and actor, as it was a lapse exam the video, obviously, I managed to get the best possible grade, so much so that the teacher in one of the Whatsapp groups said through a voice note that my video exceeded her expectations, many people had not sent the video to the teacher, after she saw my video she became more demanding with people who were very late hahaha, it was a crazy thing, on the one hand, I felt like a winner but on the other hand I felt that people who did not do the task would look for my house to give me blows.

Screenshot

I remember that video was really fun to record, I decided to give a touch of humor and drama to the video so it wouldn't be so boring, my cousin @epilatero helped me in the recording of that video, my mother dramatized with me, my mother's performance is one of the highest points that the video has, there I use school uniform, I didn't like to wear that at all, less for a video, the advantage was that the video would be seen only by the teacher. However, my video was successful and many people saw it, you don't know when I begged the teacher to let me wear casual clothes in the video, all the drama I did for that was in vain.

In one of the scenes of the video I am laughing at my mom, that laugh was 100% sincere, my mom looked like a real crazy person, she took her role very seriously to support me. The video is from a year ago, maybe it is a little outdated, so many things have happened, but for me, the message that my video tries to convey is the same, prevent the Covid-19 with many recommendations, besides it was very funny and great, which is why I want to share it with you family, the video was all planned by me, from planning where to record, to the scripts and the way to act, well now that I remember the only time I used script was in the explanation of the prevention, many parts of the video were improvised, don't be scared with the sound effects, they are to give atmosphere to the video of technical difficulties haha.

Screenshot

Instead of saying hello Hive family in the video what I do is greet my teacher because she was supposed to be the only one who would see the video, the twists and turns that life gives, many of my friends did not make a video so elaborate because they thought it would not help them in life, now that I made that video so good, a year later I use it again I am a Crack.

After the precautions video what follows is a dedication to @jauregui98, he also likes video games as much as I do, so I used my head and wit to dedicate him a little piece of my video to pay tribute to his fight against Covid-19. In the fighting game Def Jam Fight For NY I came up with the brilliant idea of illustrating a fight between @jauregui98 and the Covid-19 where @jauregui98 would come out as the winner, I used a picture of him on his Twitter to create the character and try to make him look as good as possible, using my editing I managed to emulate a fight between them.

However, many of the options when you start the story of that game are blocked so I had to make oil with the little I had at my disposal, maybe it didn't look as I expected, but I did my best attempt. So, @jauregui98 if you get to read this post or get to see my video, I want you to know that I did it with the best intention in the world, you are Gamer just like me and we should support each other.

Sorry for the poor quality of that part of the video, I don't have a capturer to record my TV, so I had to record with a cell phone that was within my reach.

The only thing I have left to say is that I wish Gabriel a speedy recovery, this video is dedicated to him to make him smile in this complicated situation he is going through, keep fighting, victory is near, all Hive supports you, all your family supports you, all your friends support you so you don't give up, to bad weather good face as Vegeta777 once said haha.

My video is amazing so I recommend you to watch it if you haven't seen it on my 3speak channel, soon I will upload more content to that channel, I'm working hard to keep growing.

I have nothing more to say, a greeting and a strong psychological hug for @jauregui98 and we will see each other another day, wash your hands, do inhalations, use soap, use a mask, clean the house, Goodbye! See you next time. :D

Thank you very much!!

Photo taken by the author

Photo taken by the author

¡¡Muchas Gracias!!

Thank you for this post. COVID is extremely serious and I can't stand the people who don't take it seriously because it hasn't effected them. I can forgive the children that have a hard time staying indoors to some degree; it's the adults who are flippantly walking around because they don't care about others. Since they have not had a loved one contract the illness and see what it can do to people, they use the front of "believing" it's not that serious or it's a scam to cover up the truth; they just don't care about others. Deep down, they know that's the real truth. But, they bury it under conspiracy theories and misunderstandings to make it feel morally ok for them.

It's a difficult time for many. I've lost a couple people personally to the disease. I know many who have. And I know people who fit in the above category; the people who don't care. It's a divisive time but in my eyes the division is somewhat necessary. I don't really want to be close with anyone who thinks a fun conspiracy theory is more important than the lives of the people around them.

Thank you so much for this post. It's an important topic. Unfortunately, as with any open-ended platform, the majority of COVID-related topics I have seen around HIVE have been the nay-sayers. The people who stop just short of saying "I don't care about anyone else". Those people also tend, in most cases, to be the people who stop just short of openly displaying their other hateful opinions. Regardless, thank you.

@jauregui98 , I wish you the speediest, safest, healthiest and best recovery you can have. I don't know you personally nor do I know how the virus has affected you; but I sincerely hope you pull through without long-term effects.

Beautiful, well written post. And important. Thank you :)
