What is friendship to you? To me, friendship is a much bigger deal than the average person conceives it to be. In friendship with me, there is an unmatched length at which I can reach for a friend, there is deep immense of sacrifice I can take on, all without even feeling indebted to or wanting anything back in return, but I get burnt almost every damn time.
How come I'm the only one that sees friendship the way I see it? Like I'm not meant to be from here or something, same with love and relationship. Why are people so weird? I see so many people that are quick to exploit their friend's vulnerabilities, I can't understand it. In my books, if you're not happy, as my friend, it greatly affects my state of happiness as well.
Being a Virgo, we have a natural gift of spotting bullshit from afar, so you can trust that I take my time in letting people into my personal space, I also admit that there are others that I meet and we click at a go. Personally, I try to give everyone a benefit of doubt till they prove otherwise, after which I cut myself off.
People are diverse in background and experiences which may have shaped them as did me, one can't be friends with everybody, but even after being carefully selective, people are subject to change.
I'm the "friends forever" type of person, I may not be the best friend out there as I also have my flaws, however, contrary to the experiences I've been having, more people are cool with momentary friendship, it irritates me. I know "life happens" at some points and best of friends go separate ways, I get that, or maybe I don't, but most of all, people happen, people are the major contributors to ending friendships.
So why am I saying these? Due to the experiences I've been having, it's becoming horribly difficult for me to make new friends who we share genuine feelings for each other or that I can relate with on an entirely personal or intimate level. Maybe it's just me over thinking things, or people are just busy and adulting, but this is how I presently perceive things to be, fantasy? Maybe there's no such thing as "friends forever".

Seems like you are that type of person who really appreciates friendships, who is loyal and fully gives themselves 100% (or more) and I guess many people are not on that level yet.
I can relate. The more I get to know myself and the older I get, the more I appreciate friendships on a deeper level and I really want to make friends with someone who I can have long, more "spiritual" conversations with as I don't feel comfortable talking about these to any of my friends but as an introvert, making new friends is not easy, lol.
I believe that those connections will happen when we are fully ready, maybe there's still more things we have to learn from the people who are in our lives now and see who's meant to be there in the future.
