Trip to Portugal - Rivers of Portugal #2

Here I am enjoying the biggest bridge in Portugal (Vasco da Gama Bridge) and also the biggest river in Portugal, the Tagus River.

This River and Bridge are located in the Portuguese capital Lisbon, a very touristy and international business city.

The Vasco da Gama Bridge is 12.3 km long, where many people cross mostly to go to work on the south bank and those on the south bank to the center of the capital. This bridge does not normally take much traffic because it has tolls and are more expensive than all the bridges that exist in Lisbon.

In this last photo we can see the greatness of the Tagus River and the second bridge in Lisbon, the 25 de Abril Bridge.
The Tagus River is about 1000km long, for a small country like Portugal it is a very large river.

In these photos we are already in the north of Portugal in the city of Porto, the second largest city in Portugal. In the city of Porto, you can admire the beautiful Douro River, which on its banks preserves a lot of history about Portugal.

The Douro River has an extension of almost 900 km and through it you can see several bridges in the North of Portugal and the various vineyards in which our famous Port wine is produced.

Here you can still see the Douro River but now in Melres which is about 45 km away and you have the possibility to make a river on its river beach.

The Peso da Régua where you will find the famous vineyards that are produced Port Wine. Here you are about 120 km from the city of Porto and you still see the magnificent Douro River.

Finally in Pinhão and still seeing the Douro River, a small town in which there are also enough vineyards to produce Port wine. It is very beautiful to see the sunset here.
