IFTAR RAMADAN TRADITION IS FUN

Hi Hive friends ...
How are you?
How's the fast?

Today I want to tell you about the traditions in Indonesia every time the holy month of Ramadan comes, which comes once a year.

For Muslims the month of Ramadan is a month full of joy, a month full of forgiveness, a holy month and glorious. Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, where all Muslims celebrate by fasting.

Many things are done during the month of Ramadan, namely fasting, sahur, tarawih prayer, tadarus, the night of lailatul qadar and zakat. Fasting is also included in the 4th Islamic ruling.

In addition, what is interesting is the many traditions of breaking the fast together in Indonesia. Gathering while waiting for breaking time is a fun thing in this tradition. Even the schedule for breaking the fast together can be overwhelming because of the many communities or friends they have. That's what I often do when Ramadan arrives and this tradition has become a place to strengthen friendship and brotherhood.

Like now, I hang out with my former office friends, even when I no longer work they still remember me and make schedules so we can get together. This makes Ramadan even more special.

There are many things we do to make this happen. When Ramadan arrived we also made a schedule for the meeting and we agreed to bring each of our meals into a buffet on a banana leaf base or so-called "Liwetan."

We also started to prepare when the time came, I was in charge of carrying the drinks, immediately looked for the needed ingredients. After I am ready, I will go to the place that has been agreed upon.
Arriving there, some of my friends have arrived and we also prepare a meal to break the fast.

After the evening call to prayer echoed which marked the time to break our fast, we immediately drank the hot tea that had been provided, not forgetting to pray first. After that we also performed evening prayers and continued to eat the "liwetan" that we had prepared.

While chatting occasionally we exchange ideas about the new work we are doing. We are no longer in the same office but we are still the same team as before. Without realizing it the time was late and one by one decided to go home. And we also remember that we haven't taken a photo when we are together hahaha and finally we took a photo before going home.

I am very grateful to have such good friends. I wish my life and their life to be happy.

How about breaking your fast?
Have fun and stay happy 🥰
