This time I want to share a memory when I worked at a private company in Jakarta. I will tell you when my company held its 11th anniversary.

Bagaimana kabarnya?
Kali ini aku mau bercerita kenangan saat aku bekerja di sebuah perusahaan swasta di Jakarta. Aku akan bercerita saat perusahaanku mengadakan ulang tahun yang ke-11.
As always, every year our company holds an event to commemorate growing age. Unlike other companies that usually hold a tour or trip, our company conducts a competition with a variety of themes, each year there will be a different theme.
Seperti biasanya, setiap tahun perusahaan kami mengadakan acara untuk mengenang bertambahnya usia. Tidak seperti perusahaan lain yang biasanya mengadakan sebuah tour atau trip, perusahaan kami melakukan sebuah kompetisi dengan tema yang beragam, setiap tahun akan ada tema yang berbeda.
For this 11th year our theme is sports in the morning and dance covers at night. All employees joined and made several teams. I'm in the R&D department joining the team from Purchasing, we have 35 members. There are 6 in total for the whole team and each must perform a good dance. And for sports, we are only divided into 2 teams. Blue team and pink team.
Untuk tahun ke-11 ini tema kami tentang sport pada pagi hari dan dance cover pada malam hari. Seluruh karyawan bergabung dan dibuat beberapa tim. Aku yang berada di departemen R&D bergabung dengan tim dari Purchasing, kami memiliki 35 anggota. Total seluruh tim ada 6 dan masing-masing harus menampilkan tarian yang bagus. Dan untuk sport, kami hanya dibagi menjadi 2 tim. Tim biru dan tim pink.

A month before the show started, we chose a song and also choreographed the dance that we were going to perform. My friends entrusted me to make the choreo with several songs mixed into 8 minutes. It's really an honor for me, because I've only been working for less than a year and this is my first time participating. After determining the song and the choreo, we practiced.
Sebulan sebelum acara dimulai, kami memilih lagu dan juga membuat koreo untuk dance yang akan kami tampilkan. Teman-temanku mempercayakannya padaku untuk membuat koreo dengan beberapa lagu yang di mix menjadi 8 menit itu. Sungguh itu menjadi kebanggaan untukku, karena aku baru bekerja kurang dari setahun dan ini pertama kalinya aku berpartisipasi. Setelah menentukan lagu dan juga koreo, kamipun berlatih.
D-Day (Hari H).
We were asked to gather at a stadium for sports matches that have been determined by the committee. Before the match starts, we do gymnastics first so that the body doesn't stiffen. Then the match started and continued until the afternoon. We have played several matches but unfortunately our team lost by one point with the pink team.
Kami diminta berkumpul pada sebuah stadion untuk melakukan pertandingan olah raga yang telah ditentukan panitia. Sebelum pertandingan dimulai, kami melakukan senam terlebih dahulu agar tubuh tidak kaku. Kemudian pertandinganpun dimulai dan berlanjut hingga sore hari. Beberapa pertandingan telah kami laksanakan tapi sayangnya tim kami kalah selisih satu angka dengan tim pink.
We also returned to the hotel, rushing to prepare for the next match, namely the dance cover. We are also busy wearing costumes and dressing up according to our theme. We danced several songs, namely Billie Eilish (Bellyache - Marian Hill Remix), Twice (Dance The Night Away), BigBang (Good Boy) and Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars (Uptown Funk).
Kamipun kembali kehotel, bergegas untuk bersiap melakukan pertandingan berikutnya yaitu dance cover. Kamipun sibuk memakai kostum dan berdandan sesuai tema kami. Kami menarikan beberapa lagu yaitu Billie Eilish (Bellyache – Marian Hill Remix), Twice (Dance The Night Away), BigBang (Good Boy) dan Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars (Uptown Funk).
Before the dance cover event started, we ate dinner first and heard a speech from the company owner regarding his 11 years of achievement. And do not forget to also sing the happy birthday song with a large cake on the stage lined with the bosses of the company.
Sebelum acara dance cover dimulai, kami menyantap hidangan makan malam terlebih dahulu dan mendengar pidato dari pemilik perusahaan atas pencapaiannya selama 11 tahun. Dan tidak lupa pula kami menyanyikan lagu selamat ulang tahun dengan kue yang besar di atas panggung yang berjajar dengan para atasan dari perusahaan.
After the ceremony was over, we started to do a dance competition starting with Team 1 from the HR and Accounting department. Then team 2 then team 3, namely us. We danced to the rhythm, even though our dances were not very compact but who would have thought that we won an award as a special team and brought cash prizes. The judges also recognized that our dances were the best.
Setelah acara ceremony selesai, kamipun mulai melakukan pertandingan dance yang dimulai dari tim 1 yang berasal dari departemen HR dan Accounting. Selanjutnya tim 2 lalu tim 3 yaitu kami. Kami menari sesuai irama, walaupun tarian kami tidak begitu kompak tapi siapa sangka bahwa kami memenangkan penghargaan sebagai tim special dan membawa hadiah berupa uang tunai. Para juri pun mengakui bahwa tarian kami yang terbaik.
This is my story when I was working at the company, because now the company has gone out of business because of the covid pandemic that has never subsided. May all of us stay healthy and the pandemic ends soon.
Inilah ceritaku saat aku masih bekerja di perusahaan itu, karena sekarang perusahaan itu telah gulung tikar karena pandemic Covid-19 yang tak kunjung reda. Semoga kita semua tetap sehat dan pandemi segera berakhir.
