If you love yoghurt and then cake, sit back and relax as you read this recipe. When cooking or baking, you can try replacing one ingredient with another for a twist. Sometimes it turns out great, other times...a disaster but it's all a learning process. This cake recipe is basically a vanilla cake recipe but with a replaced ingredient and alterations. Instead of using milk, I used yoghurt.

Here's how to make them

Ingredients

Flour (245g)
Yoghurt (1 cup)
Baking powder (2 tbs)
Vanilla essence (1 tbs)
Sugar (½ cup)
Egg (1 large)
Vegetable oil (½ cup)

Procedure

Sift flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.

Beat egg in a bowl. Add sugar, vanilla essence, yoghurt and vegetable oil and mix till all sugar dissolves.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

Set oven to 180°c for 5 minutes while you pour your batter in the cake pan.

It kinda tasted a bit like alcohol eventually but that's a good thing. A wise man once said, a hint of alcohol in a cupcake is all that matters. No one said that.
